I would love to get the 251 pics, both variants, and the Sturmtiger. I have a lot of 251 reference but can never have enough pics, especially the /9. And I am planning a full interior for the Sturmtiger.

Clemons: I'd love to see some of your interior phtoos of the T-34/76, M10, and Comet. I've never been anywhere where you were allowed to climb on the vehicles at all. Here in the US it's pretty much lawsuit city, no one wants anyone to slip, fall and the sue the crap out of them.

BTW: I uploaded a pile of photos to PhotoBucket back in the spring. Mostly US armour here with a smattering of British and Soviet vehicles. Most of them are from the Danville Va tank museum with most of the outdoor shots from a show up in northern Va held once a year- sorry forget the name of the event.

I went to Munster the last 4 days and visited the tank museum there! Those tanks are really intimidating when you actually stand in front of them... Most of them were much bigger than I thouhgt... I have plenty of pics (1500 at least), so just tell me if you are interested. I'll post a link to Dropbox with the full folder in the next 2 weeks, but I can upload some teasers this weekend if you want....

Wow!  That would be terrific!  I have not done any armor but have a fair amount in my stash.  These would be great references!  I would very much be interested!  That's so much for doing it!

Cliff: I wasn't allowed to climb on any vehicle at all, but that didn't keep me from doing it!

I have some pics of the drivers compartment of the T-34, but only turret interior pics of the M-10 (the interior was in a really bad condition)

Some pics are better than the others and some are worse. That is due to the bad lighting in the museum. I had to take most detail shots with my camera flash on...

Hey no worries about the M10, those are some great photos you just posted. Love the interior shots, esp on the open top vehicles like the Hummel. I can read all about what should be painted what colour but it's always easier just to look at a picture.

Thanks guys! I stayed 3 days in Munster and spent 8 hours per day in the museum. I have to say that this was the best experience I ever had regarding a museum!

If anyone tells me how (actually where) to upload a 4.5 GB file, I'm going to give ALL the pics to you (all 1365 of them)...

well i don't do many planes and have a bunch in the stash so we're even.

back from IPMS USA NATIONALs. think we had >2500 models but we (host club) don't have all the figures yet. didn't take many pics as i was working a 8 hour days there but had some breaks. scored some good deals and raffle wins. looks like CHILLI-CON in albuquerque has a d-day theme so LCVP will fit nicely.

Some cracking photo's there Clemens. Nice shots of the Strumtiger. But I have no idea how to load all those photo's other than doing a few at a time.

You can start a thread in the reference section and put them all there as I am sure a lot of guys would love to see them.

I have decided I'm not going to do the B-26 Marauder as originally thought for this build. Instead I want to do the P-47 Thunderbolt "Bubbletop" since I currently have the kit on deck. Yes, I'm still doing the Spitfire as well. Thanks.

Oh yeah - this 'Bolt will be based on the 'Bridge Busters' image I came across awhile back.

My mistake - the Spit is Hasegawa 1/48th scale - not Tamiya.

I agree 100 percent. But just make sure you use correct wording in front of "too many Thunderbolts" Other wise, the sentence won't be a true statement.

The correct way is "There are not enough P 47 Thunderbolts in this GB" LOL

Bit more progress on the Academy 1/72 Tiffie, it's ready for a wash and some paint now. I cut out the kit exhausts, which were ordinary, and inserted some Quickboost ones. You can see how I had to add some plastic strip to fix where I butchered it in the close up.

It's got a CMK cockpit set. It's didn't fit to owell, as it was too bulky to fit between the wheel wells and prevented the wing from joining to the fuselage. I used my Dremel to grind quite abit of resin of the set, and some plastic off the inside of the  wheel wells.

I've lost count of the number of times I've broken the cannon, maybe 5 or 6....

Looking good there Tony. I can kust imagine those barrels being a bit of  pain.

Not many aircraft say Normandy more than a Tiffy ;-) Especially during the breakout phase...

I've built that academy Tiffy and it was a good kit. I think I broke each cannon at least once trying to get the wings on. Tight fit but they fit nice once I got them in. I used the kit exhaust on mine but I like the ones you used a lot better. Looks good.

I reckon on broke them 5 times between midnight and 3am Sunday. Serves me right ! I broke one of the exhaust outlets too, but fixed it easily enough. Would have been difficult if I lost the part though. There was some inelegant language in use for a while there.
