Hello everybody.

Thanks for your compliments.

This is the latest update, finally finished the assembling which required a PhD in fitting.

Anyway, with the base color it starting to look goooood.....

I will add the firts cammo HOPEFULLY this week. Work has being a nightmare and also have to split my time between travelling and a family, including a 10 yo....

Ok, so back to business here we are:

I made this color, since I do not have NATO colors, currently on a tight budget so a man has to work with whatever you have on your hands...if you have lemons....

In fact I do like this color.

Wayne my M-12 and M-40 are painted with a Lifecolor mix or a Tamiya mix. I thought I would see what I could come up with using a Vallejo mix on this M-43.

All in Fun

this is going to look nice tony. what will be the final color?

took a break from DANA and working on a towed 37 FLAK in travel mode for a local contest next week. started cleaning up the bunker and trashed a 75mm PAK diorama from '08. took a second but is old. saved the gun and crew, looked at the gun and decided to practice a pin wash on it.

thanks all. i looked at the diesel build in the instructions of my DF-21 tractor and they add some wire. not sure if i am going to jazz this one up since i don't know if i am opening the engine compartment. second DANA build will be all crazy, may even have a bit of scratch build turret interior so i can at least partially open some hatches.

BTW anybody know what color the soviets painted their engines. i figure all the interior will be dirty white. my PLA engine block is orange which i may do here just for some contrast. can't remember what the engine block color was on my M60A2 but thinking white with a lot of staining

it is a law; styrene and PE do not follow the laws of physics. i have done the same thing; watch it fall could pinpoint where it hit the floor and it's gone. i had a part on the desk with 2 others to sand and it just disappeared.

latest pics. i will be adding all the OOB PE this week and start painting. this will be done in sections due to the nature of the braekout of the sub assemblies.

Garzonh: I know what you mean about lost parts- my favorite is the part that falls straight down to your workbench- you can SEE it fall- and then when you look for it - gone! Where did it go, it fell STRAIGHT DOWN!?!!?

And nice work there!

Garzonh you've got this one in high gear.

With AFV Club kits I find they have soft to brittle plastic all in the same kit, a gentle touch is needed sure nuff.

I think the recoil feature is just a gimmick of marketing.

See ya on down the road.

This is the last update...as of September 30.

This kit has many small parts like a PE but in plastic. you were not mistaken you have to be very careful as parts are very soft and can be damaged.

I have an idea for NASA, put a spacecraft attached to a BIG plastic sprue and then use GIANT cutters and it will take flight!. This happened to me on a handle and hinge, they were never seen again. I will have to fill the hole.

I just assembled the cannon and supposedly it should recoil with the spring but I cannot make it do it. I have gone through the model instructions and try to figure how to make it recoil...Tongue Tied

Not sure why it's even useful. The kit has many parts that will probably are not needed, too much detail for something that will end hidden forever, like a clear lens part for the cannon, just to be covered by a cap..  Confused

Anyway,..here it is:

M-43 is looking good.

working on the gun for DANA. have to plan out painting as everything has to be primed and there are numerous moving parts plus this thing sits between the turret halves. engine i sready to prime unless i add wires like on the diesel in the PLA DF-21 tractor. then again no one will see it. lost a part. little part with the ammo handling. don't kmnow how that happen but my bunker floor is now cleaner than my kitchen floor. easy ennough to make a new one.
