'Crazy Germans- always waving and pointing at my as... um donkey... '
"I dream in fire but work in clay." -Arthur Machen
Eric,You can put me down for Tamiya's Semovente, thanks Anthony
Tigerman: I see 26 names in this GB...that's a pretty big group! Do you recall how many entries/finished builds you had for your Steel Cats GB?
I got it he's waving at the German that's pointing at him!
I don't have pointing German . But I have a waiving one. Any idea why he waves?
jgeratic .. and to round it out, a latest release from Dragon (with the obligatory pointing German):

Oh, I see some scratch building opportunities here if one was to turn the hand and perhaps extend a different finger.... Rommel greeting Auchinleck.

Maybe kit manufacturers have watched too much Fantasy Island;

LOL! I love it! Great comments!

He's not pointing, he's saying 'Pull my finger...'
Nah, they are Germans. It's more like "Too much rust"
Yes, the pointing German is rather over done. problem is, when it comes to a scene where a pointing figure may actually be right, your to afraid to use it .
Eagle, I think they are usually pointing at your model and shouting 'Not enough rust'.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Thanks everyone for the kit ideas! I don't know which one I like better!
As for the pointing issue.....at least one has to point, but WHAT are they pointing at? :)
GreySnake Its a well known fact whenever four or more Germans got together, one had to start pointing

That was the easiest way to tell the Germans and Austrians in the Wehrmacht apart. The Austrians were never pointing when in groups (except if they were told to do so by an officer)
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
Master Box has a beautiful set of DAK figures including the Feldmarschall, all in casual poses.
Hey pyrman64 and stks, I looked those up and they are great looking kits! Thanks for the heads up. I may check out evilbay and see if I can't sneak in on an auction and get one for a decent price...or maybe Squadron during the holidays! Thanks again!
Tamiya also did a newer 1/35 Rommel figure set that is sold with a late war German Rifleman.
F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!
U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!

Eagle90 Now, off to look for a Rommel figure!
Now, off to look for a Rommel figure!
Tamiya has Field Marshal Rommel in 1/35 plastic in the Commanders figure set and also in the Sd.kfz.250/3 GREIF (MM113) kit.
p.s. if you're in the U.S. and can't find one, let me know - I'll send you mine.

14 pages says a lot! I am so excited about getting started on my SECOND armor build! The first is going great! Now, off to look for a Rommel figure!
Yes, I am. I'm so busy with work until the end of the year. I need to do more to stimulate the GB. Sorry guys.
Eric
That's defiantly a good sign.
Well it hasnt even started yet and there are 14 pages here... I think the answer is yes.

Last Aircraft Builds - Hobby Boss 1/72 F4F Wildcat & FW-190A8
Glad to have you GreySnake. Thanks too, for your entry Ernest.
OK, I've been mulling this over for a few weeks, but I need to make a decision, so here's my entry:
Dragon 1/35 Pz.Kpfw.I Ausf.B DAK Version
I think there are a couple of AM parts in the box, but other than that it will be built mostly OOB.
Against my better judgment I'll sign up. Put me down for a Esci MK.I Bishop.
One month to go boys. It's going to go quickly. Looking forward to the distraction.
I think I'm leaning towards something from Italy, so if anyone is interested in shaking some sand out of their Italian made sandals, here are a couple TO&E charts for their Bersaglieri battalions.

Three battalions would make up a regiment, and in turn a regiment would be found attached to either a motorized infantry division, or a tank division. If I read the charts correctly, the parent formation (Div.) would dictate the equipment type of the Bersaglieri supporting units.
So I put this together as a guide if I were to do a tank vehicle representing Bersaglieri within an armoured division:
