Thanks for the comments, guys! :-) SS -- You call that horribly hot? It was that indoors with two airconditioners running today! They forecast 47C but we "only" got 44... Right now, 37 sounds attractive... :-)

We don't have any air conditioning, so it was more like 40° indoors. And don't forget that it's narmally not as hot in Austria, so nobody is used to such temperatures...

Mike: Looks good! I assume there was bullet resistant glass behind the driver's viewport, maybe some clear plastic would work with a little blue tint added?

Hope it cools down for you guys - recently dropped to -20 C around here and we had pipe's bursting galore. Now it's up to a really nice 10 C and I hope it stays this way for awhile.

I did pull out the M10 the other night and do a little work on the running gear and interior. Busy with lotsa other stuff and probably be some time before I can begin in earnest though.

Hi guys,

I made a tiny bit of progress today, I lined up the exhausts and mufflers of six projects and tackled them in one go. I roughened the surface with the old liquid cement trick, then stippled sanding dust into the surface to roughen it further. Next will come a darkened red-brown base coat, I'll finish off with MiG pigments, and brush paint any bits not meant to be heat-denatured. The Jagdpanther is here, and five others.

Cheers, Mike/TB379

Looking good Mike.

Finally got some time to get some more work done.

Took care of most of the gaps, Still have a little sanding to do. Boy I'm sure glad for gap filling super glue!

Did my best to get the hatches to fit on the top. They were almost to small for where they needed to fit. They are alright but not something I'm proud of.

And just to show how small this kit is. Here it is along with a 1/35 T-72

Mike: I'm looking forward to some pics! That technique sure sounds interesting.

David: Wow, that's really tiny! You're maing some good progress on the Hetzer!

Thanks Spartan! I'll admit that I've realized 1/72 armor isn't my favorite way to small for me!

I've never even tried to build something that small. 1/72 isn't a scale I fancy building, but I admire all the brave guys who do build such tiny stuff.

I'm doing a 1/72 Abrams for another GB, but I tend to agree. I do 1/48 as it's a nice compromise between shelf space and size. Limited range of subjects is the downer, unless you like paying $$$ for resin kits. I'd love to see more post war armor in that scale though.

Cheers

Tony

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.

Hi guys, I sprayed up the exhausts today in darkened redbrown, over the rough texture applied last time, and have applied the parts to some models after masking. I used strips of tape at hard junctures and rubber solution for the rest:

I'll need a gas bottle refill later this week so I might do some spraying on the external tools for the lineup of tanks awaiting the spraybooth with the two bars pressure of so remaining.

Cheers, Mike/TB379

Looking good Mike.

Blitzwing, Good progress on the Marder.

The weather was really nice here today. So the little tank hunter got painted!

I did say before that I wasn't going to do an ambush camouflage. But a picture I found convinced me to do otherwise. Now the real work starts painting the road wheels and all the other little things.

David: Wow that is an amazing paint job on such a tiny model. I'm assuming you did those dots with a brush?

Tony: Are you going to try that stripy camo that was on the box art?

I haven't touched the Pz. IV today, but did order up the last materials. At this time I have hex rod coming from Plastruct tio scratch the bolt heads, decals coming from Archer for the helmets among the stowage, and paints and thinners (AK)  coming from an interstate shop. It'll probably take a week or two for items to come in, and we have another heatwave on the way, so I'm not expecting this tank to be finished anytime real soon, but in February is a definite possibility.

Happy Australia Day to all the fellow Aussies out there.

Progress has been slow lately but a long weekend means more time so I was able to get a lot more done. The majority of the construction is complete and I also managed to get it painted up. I've tried to fade the paintwork a bit as well as done some dry brushing but I'm not 100% sure on how successful it is. I only want to weather it lightly but I'm on the fence whether I should leave it the way it is, or take a lighter grey to it to fade it a bit more. What do you guys think?

And here are the figures mostly painted but blue tacked together.

I really like the finish you achieved on your Marder! The figures look awesome. What paints did you use to paint them?

Indeed, Happy Australia Day to Aussies out there- hope it cools down a little bit!

BW: Dunno, it's kinda hard to tell from photos so you'll just have to be the judge- yeah big help I am right!?!

The figures look great though I hope the guy isn't pointing at an enemy tank behind them since they'll have the turn the whole darn TD around!

SS, I originally signed on for a Stug IV, but if you don't mind I'd like to change that to a Marder III in 1/35 by Dragon. Thanks

It has to be the road wheels. As much as I love German armour, the Germans certainly loved their road wheels especially as the war progressed. Four single wheels on each side for the Marder certainly beats the double row of eight on the Stug IV.
