No matter how the seatbelts are arranged Jorge, that is one awesome looking cockpit. Very well executed. I like the use of Alclad with AK interactive. Quite new technique to me for a cockpit. It looks great.

Looks really good Jorge!  I agree with you about the seatbelts, they just look too well organized to me.  But based on how the rest of the cockpit looks I wouldn't complain if I was able to do that!

Hi

Finally finished the cockpit.

Here are the pics.

I painted the pit, pedals and seat alclad aluminium first then two coats of AK heavy chipping acrylic fluid. After that was dry i airbrushed Tamiya XF-63, chipped some of the paint and got everything real dirty with a oil wash of raw umber.

One coat of of clear flat and some dry brushing.

I am not too happy with how the belts are sitting, maybe I'll try to make it look better later.

Like always comments and suggestions are welcome.

Hi everyone

I am finally done with my latest project and had enough time to start with my Fw-190.

I have been working on the cockpit for the last week, painted and did some chipping, working on the pedals and some other parts right now.

Next I am going to glue the small parts, a brown wash and some dry brushing.

Comments and suggestions always welcome.

Bish

Loking forward to the 24 ken. So what markings are you giving this one.

I haven't decided on the markings yet.I been looking I'd rather not do one that most people do, ie Hun Hunter in the P 47 group. I like to be different LOL.

Making some progress on the T-34's upper hull. Uninterrupted bench time plus the World Cup on TV is bliss. Smile  The wheels are partway done, I just didn't bother to put them in the pic.

Hey There G-J! It is awesome to see you jumping in here with the Tamiya Mossie. You are going to LOVE building a Tamiya kit. I have to say the majority of my stash is Tamiya. I too have that kit in my stash and from what i have researched it is a gem of a kit. Also nice to see you stepping out to try something a little different. I am looking forward to your progress and pics.

It finally arrived (or, I finally paid for it, and had it shipped)

This will mark many firsts for me:

  • First non-U.S. plane
  • First non-strictly-single-seat-fighter
  • First Tamyia model

I'm looking forward to getting started.  I'm researching the subject, and figuring out paints.

This will be geared towards Operation Jericho.

On the bench:  Tamyia Mosquito Mk. VI for the '44 group build.  Yes, still.

JOE RIX

Very nice Ken. I'm anticipating a rather excellent build up of the B-24 from you.

Thanks Joe Tongue Tied

I'm glad I have 6 months to do it in. I'm also doing a B-17 now too

No! Keep the B24. I'm doing it for this GB  I don't have the B 52 yet. I am signed up for the BUFF B-52 GB. It will be there when I get the kit. I am getting it from a local model club member. He had car trouble so he wasn't able to make the meeting Saturday, So I went ahead and got the B-24.

Thanks

Ken, I believe it was removed by heathens trying to impose a false scale Big Smile

Is that in the 52 GB. I will look forward to that, hopefully I can do mine next year. Do you want me to remove the B-24 from the roster.

And the True Scale is the one laid down in the missing commandments.

'And the Lord said there shall be no other aircraft scale than the one that is righteous and true, and that scale is 1/72nd'

OhhhKay!!!

i admit, I'm not well versed in the Bible, But what book of the Bible is this in? LOL Or is this missing from the good book? LOL

Ok, My next build is going to be the B52. Is that true scale enough?

Indeed Ken, resistance is futile. You will succumb to the power of 1/72:

Okay, here's a Big DUHHHH on my part.

What I meant was the B-17 G is too new to do the  plane my Uncle was in when they were shot down in 1942 just 2 or 3 miles north of New Guinea. It was a B17E . Oops

And the B 24 is too old to do Jimmy Stewarts Male Call

Sorry for the misunderstanding Oops

Uhhhh what is "True Scale"?

Thanks
