I built the Eastern Express one in 1/72 and kinda got a jones for it.

Regarding the 190 collection, they do look like a nice plane, never built one though....I hope to someday get enough money and enough interest in one plane to have lots of them in my stash.

In other news, I got a package from squadron, I splurged and spent my paycheck on all eduard weekend editions: the Hellcat Mk II, Mirage III (Israeli version) CJ I believe? and the two kits I entered into this build...haven't opened the package yet as I just got home from work, but ohh I'm excited

Clemens, welcome!  That Roland is a sweet kit!  .....and regarding the Snipe, my advice would simply be "get it!"  I've got the early one, and the way some of the kit parts are molded has me shaking my head and wondering  "how the heck did they do that!?" .

Haha, that's not a bad idea, but I think I'd rater invest the money in more kits.

I can't add any extra rooms to my hoes because I don't have one. I live in an appartment in Vienna... You're right about the "mad" part though Now I really own every 190 kit I want to have (untill one of the manufacturers comes up with something new at least), so I'll just build some of them before buying a new one...

I stand corrected OBI wan!  I happen to have a weakness for the albatros family,   and you have a point when you sit them next to your towering pile of 190 boxes.

Nah, I don't think this is going to happen. I am not a huge fan of most WW1 planes TBH. There are some I really like though:

• Roland D.VI (the one I'm building for this)
• Albatros D.V
• AMC DH.2 (on it's way to me)
• Sopwith Snipe

That's pretty much all of them. I think I'll pass on the Albatros as it looks very similar to the Roland (to me at least). 3-4 WW1 models ain't that bad (compared to my 190s, that is).

I can't recall what size bit I used on the 0/400. The smallest I have is 0.25mm. What I could not find is any online source for rigging schemes. I read a review on the kit we have which say's the instructions are not very clear, I haven't checked that far yet. But theres always the box art.

What the heck, I'm in as well. My build schedule is full right now, but as this one is going to stay here for a few years, I'm sure I'll have enough time to contribute a model before it ends. I was never really into WW1 aviation, but there are a few planes that just look so nice. One of them is one of my recent additions to the 1/32 stash:

This is my first and only WW1 aircraft kit so far and I don't plan on adding a lot more to my stash, but It's always nice to build something different once in a while.

I'll build her as shown on the box top because the Edelweiß paint scheme looks so damn nice. Add the fact that I'm Austrian and this little flower is somewhat of a national insignia for Austria and you have the perfect paint scheme for me!

Yes I know what you mean,  I was looking at the very small drill bits to see which ones I'll need to drill holes for the rigging.  not sure yet  .047 dia.  I'm sure that's where i'll start my eye balls out. This is assuming I get that far, I still have to assemble the wings!

Yes one tree of parts = many weeks of pain and anguish!

While I respect the right  of others (mistaken though they may be) to build any (other) scale that suits their temperament and eyesight, I shall endeavor to build (mostly) in the scale intended by the...  [think deep loud voice here]   Pantheon of Great Builders .

Not in 1/72 Bish.  Those would be quite small.  Even the 1/32 ones are tiny.
