OK, OK you heavy handed persuasion has worked!

I'll join the GB; Of course I have no clue what I'm doing er gonna do. Cause what I know about WW I will fit in a gnats as  EAR, I mean.

But most likely a wingie thing; however the new St.Chamond, Early Type is intriguing ....will let you know.

Oh,and a big "Thanks David" for creating this .

Jack- remember the late-great FAA Group Build? It went on for quite a number of years. Every year there was a new subject, some not even really FAA, but it meant you didn't have to be done with the previous model.

I'm pretty sure what I will build, but I need to find it in the stash hole.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Great stuff!

It's too bad the nature of the war was pretty lean in the armour aspect until the final year or so of the war.  Otherwise, we'd probably double our roster.

Considering it is the 100th mark,  I had thought of doing an anniversary build for each year of the war, just like that which is currently going on with the Second World War (1942 BG, 1943 GB, and presently the 1944 GB), but the selection of kits representing 1914 would be quite lean.

Another option is to have an extended group build, same start date, but ending in November 11th, 2018.  Maybe have one basic  badge, and then for each additional completed build, add a medal to represent this accomplishment.  Too ambitious, likely, but just something to throw out there and ponder.

regards,

Jack

Good stuff, I hope to have enough skills to get to my WNW SE5 or D-7 by then, failing that I will get a cheaper (if I stuff it up) model for the GB LOL

100th Anniversary of WWI GB
Posted by GreySnake on Thursday, January 9, 2014 7:20 PM

Welcome Sign everyone to the official 100th anniversary of WWI group build.

The rules of the group build are simple. It is open to aircraft, armor, ships and figures as long as it took part in WWI. The group build will start on July 28 2014 marking the 100th annversary of the start of WWI and end November 11th 2015 marking the 97th ending of WWI.

Of course there are a lot of subjects you can choose from. The first tanks to the large German strategic bombers.

Here are the rules

1. Any subject as long as it took part in WWI

2.Aftermarket is OK

3.Please post pictures of your progress

4.If you want to do a crossover that's alright.

5.Started builds are alright as long as they are only 20% finished.

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

And here's our badges. Please thank Mike (ruddratt) Steve (Duster) for making them Toast

Here's Mike's
