100th Anniversary of WWI GB

Struts on the Albatross are characteristically thin (I think on the original they were made of metal), so if the plastic is of the brittle type, can lead to problems.

What you've ended with is still quite a good model, nicely done!

Thanks Jack and all for the replies.  Again, this was a fun and I had quite the expereince with this build. I am sure to be building another WW1 subject in the future.  Scott

Got to apologize to all on this GB for not finishing my project in time.  I was down for the Revell 1/350 SMS Emden but due to a lot of things (mostly me) I failed miserably.

I will, however endevour to finish it and another GB project before the end of the year (or world, it seems to take me that long anymore)

Don't worry my friend; I'm in the same boat.  

I'm going to do my best to restart and finish my Saint Chamond  - gee whiz where does the time go?

I did say i would post some pics a month ago but i completly forgot. In the end i just wanted to get this done and decided not to strain my nerves by adding the rigging. So all i did was get the decals on and everything put together. The red edges to the tail should really have been painted as the decals had a large clear section that was hard to set down, so there is a bit of silvering there.

And then i just add it to a small base.

And there it is. certainly not my best attempt, but it is a colurful addition and i have re learnt one lesson. Stick to what i am really interested in.

Hi Bish, looks good from here, 

and definitely is one of the more colorful aircraft from that time period.  Oh well, you got yourself a ready made model to try some rigging when you feel up to it.

Very color-er-colour full Bish. The lack of wires is, in some small way, made up for by the very complementary base you created.
