Deal me in, Don Stik! Rex can't have the only Phantoms on the board, so put me down for the 1/48 F-4C, and the old white box release of the 1/48 P-39.

This GB might just be the motivation you need to get out of the modeling doldrums.

Gary, the subject choice is good, but in its condition, as a rebuild, the rules say no. I will have to give a no on this one.

TAD, you are on the roster.

Don Stik,

I need a ruling on a model. I have this... Mossie that I built ages ago.  It's been "disassembled" and is now in a plastic baggie.  I was going to take it down to the schoolyard and try selling it to some kids as a "hook"...  I was going to donate it to a worthy charity, but what the hey!  Might as well build her.

This is what she looks like now...

I think all the parts are there.  Just need a ruling on this one.  She's an original Monogram (probably first boxing).

Hey Dom Stick!!

I'm down with my familia!!!  Sign me up.  Not sure what I'll be building, but I've got plenty to pick from as a true familia 'earner' from back in the day!  I'll let you know what the kits are after this weekend.  Got a couple of days off, and will be checking the stash for my candidates!!

I put this in the other thread, it should be here.

Call mine a Revell Phantom and a Monogram Phantom.

I will leave my joke out of here, out of respect for the new Don of da Mafia,,,,,,,,but, go look at the other thread for something that I hope makes some of you laugh.

Bob, you and your build are on the roster. I like your kit choice. That will be a cool one to see here. Hopefully we will see more cars, and especially I would like to see some of the Deals Wheels, and other similar types here too. The kits that are purely concept fun straight out of the 60s & 70s.

B_one, you are added. Nice choice BTW. A modern classic kit. Revell showed the other guys how to do it... and at an affordable price. Still the best kit of that subject in that scale on the market.

As previously stated I'm in as well...to determine the victims..er.. kits Ima build, are what-if schemes allowed?

Yes, what if schemes are allowed. The main criteria is that the kit MUST be of original R/M origin.

Monogram Mafia III
Posted by stikpusher on Thursday, June 19, 2014 1:40 PM

We're back,,,,

A celebration of the classic USA model companies for their fans. In the absence of our old Don, I will be running this one.  Any scale, any genre, the only requirement is that the kit be an original Revell USA or Monogram molding, including up to today's latest releases such as the PT-17 or PV-1/Ventura.  To become a "made" in the "Monogram Mafia" build any two kits of R/M origin with a six month time span. The GB kicks off July 4th, but your start time does not begin until you start your first kit. The end date for the GB depends upon the members. A good family allows for time to finish the job...

Revell Germany molds of their own origin do not fit the criteria. Promodeler molds that were obtained by mold swapping with Asian companies do not meet the criteria. This is about the orginal moldings from those two companies.

Straight OOB or dressed to the nines with AM and/or scratch work is welcome....

Previously started kits are not allowed.

Crossovers with other GBs are allowed

"What if's?" are allowed
