Lets try that again... Stayed up late and got some more done on the cockpit and cabin.

Ok this is where I stand now... I have been very pleased and impressed with the CyberHobby kit so far, nicely detailed and engineered and very few fit problems. Thanks...

LOL... Glad to help Clemens... It really has been a nice kit so far. Yeah I had thought about hanging a "37" on her, but instead will go with a pair of Mauser FF20s under the belly due to the deleted gondola, and the nose guns consisting of 3 - 7.92s and a 20mm. The radio operator in the rear will also have his MG17. All that has to come from spare parts, But I have a real good picture of the set up.

Take care...

Doug

Looking good there! I had an eye on Cyber Hobby's Ju 88 with that huge 75mm AT gun strapped to the belly and your project here might just be enough to get me to buy it Wink

Morning all! I'm finally able to get started on my project here. I'll be building a Cyber Hobby Ju88 A4 Bomber, But turning it into a Ju88C6 Night Fighter version. The required parts to make the conversion are not included in the original kit as it is sold, but I have an ample supply of spare parts in the "unused part box" and other then the radar array which I had to "borrow" from stash kits, I think I can do a fairly convincing job of making the conversion. Not much to show yet, but jumping in to get started. Thanks...Doug

I bought this kit about 4 yrs ago for another project that didn't work out so just included it in stash until now, I did purchase an Eduards PE Kit to dress up the kit somewhat. By the looks of it, this will be a nice buils as most of the parts are nicely engineered and well detailed. There is little to no flash, and clean up is going to be minimal.

This is all I have so far, and will try to have the cabin done by this weekend. Take care all!

Its coming up soon, I'm just not good at trying to do several at a time like some guys can do. I usually start prep on the next GB when I'm near finishing the one I'm working on at the time.

Take care

Hey all... Plan on starting this weekend... Just got the last of the goodies in today, and raring to get started! Over all the cyber hobby kit looks great and the detail is outstanding! Being this kit does not contain the accessories I want to turn it from a C6 into a G6-4, I might have to check some of my stash for the required goodies. It also might have an unusual gun pod in place of the deleted gondola so I'm still researching that part, Any way, anxious to get going on the first of I hope at least 2 I'd like to do.

Brandon... Very cool looking 410! Just love it... Congrats and Bravo!

Great job Brandon!  That antenna array looks like it was crazy to put together.  Looking at it, I'm glad the array looks much simpler on my Uhu

Brandon - you've struggled manfully with a difficult subject and certainly done it justice -- she looks great! I can so relate to fragile parts falling off and being repaired many times, and know that frustration well -- as well as the satisfaction of finally calling such a project done!

Do you have a favourite shot you'd like to appear on page 1? I'll update it asap!

Cheers, and well done!

Mike/TB379

I suppose shot 1 will work just fine.

Thanks everyone for kind words. It was an enjoyable build even with the fiddly bits getting knocked off. I appreciate all the praise.

Very nice job Brandon,

That antenna array looks simply fiendish. Nice work on the mottling, not too hard once you just take your time at it. Everything on her looks just great.

Well done sir!    Yes

Nice work Brandon, she is a beautiful bird.  I can relate to the fragile parts.  I have broken off more antennas than I care to remember.

Mine is going well.  Except that all my putties have dried up.  Go figure, last time I was modeling was 6 years ago.. Oh well guess Spruebrothers will be getting some more of my money.

Sorry no pictures but the master model Fug 220 looks great.  Went together well.  Other than installing them on the wrong bird.   I was planning on Johnnen bird and now doing a different one.

Once again great work Brandon.

Well boys and girls, I'm calling this one done. The fine details and small parts on this kit will drive a sober man to drinking. It seems over the last few sessions I had at the bench were bathed in hatred. Every time I would touch the kit I would break off something and spend hours getting it back in place. This is one delicate kit to say the least.

It went together well enough but be warned, the small pieces are numerous and just looking for a reason to get knocked off. This is a tricky kit to handle once all the fiddly bits are added. I even kept the photos at the end to a bare minimum to avoid breaking it for the millionth time. It sets on the shelf where I am scared to death to even look at it cross eyed for fear of something falling off. Whew, its done.

All in all its a good kit and fit was great. I really had no assembly issues at all. The only hard part really was doing the front radar antenna. That was tough. But superglue and some accelerator, a stack of objects to rest the whole thing on while I worked and a great deal of patience made it come together. And that radar assembly is small and very, very, very delicate and bends SOOOO easy its just nuts.

Since I really was unable to find any photos of aircraft that were dirty or heavily weathered I kept it simple and did a simple oil wash for the small details and added some soot for the exhaust stains. Dirtied up the flaps a bit and sealed it all in with MM clear flat. I am especially happy with the paint on this one as it came out great and was my first attempt at mottling.  I hope I have covered enough but if not just ask. Thanks for looking.

This one is nearly done. Decals are 75% done and then a light pin wash, after dull coat and final assembly. I will post more pics in a few days. Build on boys!!!
