Hey all... Plan on starting this weekend... Just got the last of the goodies in today, and raring to get started! Over all the cyber hobby kit looks great and the detail is outstanding! Being this kit does not contain the accessories I want to turn it from a C6 into a G6-4, I might have to check some of my stash for the required goodies. It also might have an unusual gun pod in place of the deleted gondola so I'm still researching that part, Any way, anxious to get going on the first of I hope at least 2 I'd like to do.

Brandon... Very cool looking 410! Just love it... Congrats and Bravo!

Its coming up soon, I'm just not good at trying to do several at a time like some guys can do. I usually start prep on the next GB when I'm near finishing the one I'm working on at the time.

Take care

Morning all! I'm finally able to get started on my project here. I'll be building a Cyber Hobby Ju88 A4 Bomber, But turning it into a Ju88C6 Night Fighter version. The required parts to make the conversion are not included in the original kit as it is sold, but I have an ample supply of spare parts in the "unused part box" and other then the radar array which I had to "borrow" from stash kits, I think I can do a fairly convincing job of making the conversion. Not much to show yet, but jumping in to get started. Thanks...Doug

I bought this kit about 4 yrs ago for another project that didn't work out so just included it in stash until now, I did purchase an Eduards PE Kit to dress up the kit somewhat. By the looks of it, this will be a nice buils as most of the parts are nicely engineered and well detailed. There is little to no flash, and clean up is going to be minimal.

This is all I have so far, and will try to have the cabin done by this weekend. Take care all!

Looking good there! I had an eye on Cyber Hobby's Ju 88 with that huge 75mm AT gun strapped to the belly and your project here might just be enough to get me to buy it Wink

LOL... Glad to help Clemens... It really has been a nice kit so far. Yeah I had thought about hanging a "37" on her, but instead will go with a pair of Mauser FF20s under the belly due to the deleted gondola, and the nose guns consisting of 3 - 7.92s and a 20mm. The radio operator in the rear will also have his MG17. All that has to come from spare parts, But I have a real good picture of the set up.

Take care...

Doug

Lets try that again... Stayed up late and got some more done on the cockpit and cabin.

Ok this is where I stand now... I have been very pleased and impressed with the CyberHobby kit so far, nicely detailed and engineered and very few fit problems. Thanks...

Lookin' good, Doug! Did you use the kit decals for the IP?

Hey Clemens, those are the Air Scale Luftwaffe 1/48 scale instrument and placards. (2 separate sheets) I love the decals! They aren't the greatest at sticking, but just a touch of micro-sol to suck em down and a drop of clear to simulate glass and they make for a pretty convincing looking IP.

You are an absolute master with cockpits!

That Cyberhobby kit sure looks nice. I have had my eye on there Bf 110D-3, and seeing how nice yours is shaping up just might have me sold.

AJ... so far so good, Other then some very minor fit issues there has been no trouble. Now if I were to have a complaint, it would be with the instructions, They can be a tad bit hard to decipher, and the part numbers don't always match the actual sprue number. Easily remedied by looking at the individual sprue pictures in the beginning of the instructions. BUT... That would be my only complaint if I were complaining! LOL...

It's already starting to look like a proper aircraft! I hope my LHS still has the 75mm version, because you definitely convinced me to give it a shot...

Always did like seeing that "pea shooter" hanging from the underside of the Ju88, in this case inside the gondola, but still.  Good luck! Hope you find one Clemens! Sorry , I don't know why the pictures are not in the sequence I uploaded in...

You know... when we were kids, the fighter planes were so cool, ( by this time mainly jets) and every kid wented to be a fighter pilot.....except me, not that I didnt love the fighters too but to me there as nothing like a bomber. The British Lancaster, and Wellington, the American 17s and 24s ( my personal favorite ) and of coures the German He111 and Ju88a. So being most of these night fighters are mainly converted bombers and heavy fighters, I'm having a ball!

Looking good Doug,

I'm watching your 109 at the same time.

Man, you've got a really organized bench there.

* Warning: Advertisement/Propaganda *

Since your so interested in bombers, I have a "Boeing Build" coming up in June. You may want to ponder a
B 1, 17, 29, 47, 52, etc.

RR -- looking very good! It's an amazing stage when a model starts to come together and you can start to see what she's going to look like. Impressive!

MC... You have a deal sir! I'm in!!! (please remind me as it nears) Memory and all you know,,, They say that's the first thing to go... LOL!

Thank you all for the kind words!

Johnny, I really do try not to do two builds at once, (only Clemens has that mastered) But what I do is place every thing from one on a appropriate sized piece of 3/8 ply wood and set it aside, then load the other on the bench... Organized??? You've seen my bench in the pictures... Does that look organized??? LOLOL... Thanks again all for the kind words, and Mike (TB) I agree whole heartedly. With most all the major components assembled and the pieces laid out in order of assy, you do start to get an idea of how shes going to look. Next (after assy. is my least favorite part of the build... The dreaded "fiddly parts" installation. Course after that is my favorite part, paint and detailing. Take care all...

Just going over the instructions on my Dragon Ju88G-6. I think this is the first time I've been told to put weight in the tail on a tail dragged. Are they thinking the weight of the cockpit is going to make it nose heavy

Well since my AB is on the fritz right now, I'll just do some assy on the JU88...

OK, this is my first real issue with this kit, The wing roots did not line up well at all, a bit of trimming and fitting had to be done and dry fitting was a must until I got them to fit right, In all, the gaps are not as bad as this picture makes them look, but still not good.

Tis all for now... Its actually starting to look like something...
