Doug getting to use some of my "treasured" Floquil enamels that I have left. Loved these paints. Almost cried when I found out they were being discontinued. Slowly dwindling down the supply.
I hate to hear that... Floquil at one time made some fantastic paint for air brushing T-shirts and such. Well regardless... Great work!

Mike thanks ! Finished it up ,will try to get some decent pics up soon ,work permitting
Doug I've seen the Owl Fug ant and was sooo tempted, but after hearing the trouble you had I'm glad I did'nt spend the coin on them! Great analogy of the Owl products its fitting!
TJ that paint job is looking tasty ! Looking forward to seeing more!

TJ -- coming along beautifully! Those old Floquils do a wonderful job. That was one of the brands I became aware of in the modelling literature back in the late 70s, along with Polly S and Pactra, but they never showed up in Aus, down here it's Humbrol, by and large, with MM as the alternative. Enamels are giving way to Acrylics bigtime.

I'm calling it finished. Here is my attempt at D5+AH Flown by Oblt. Herbert Koch april 1945 Grove Denmark NJG3
as always critiques /comments welcome Cheers Trey
Trey that is awesome. The black wing really stands out. What color is the mottle?
tempestjohnny Trey that is awesome. The black wing really stands out. What color is the mottle?
Thanks TJ the mottle is model master RLM75 right out of the bottle and RLM 83 that I mixed myself. Then I sprayed a blue filter over the whole scheme.
Looks great Trey! Looking at all the Ju-88s in here is making me want to pick one up to add to the stash
On my bench: Academy 1/35 UH-60L Black Hawk
Hmm. The blue filter sounds like a good idea. I sprayed 74 on mine but it seems a bit too stark. Maybe the filter will tone it down a bit. And I just got my detailer washes in the mail
Trey... Shes an absolute BEAUTY!!!
Bob... Go For It!!!
Trey -- superb work! That's a model to be really proud of! The airbrushing is wonderful, the masking came off very nicely too!
Do you have a preference on which pic for the honour wall? I'd go for the sixth down.
Apologies for not getting back sooner, teaching resumed this week and I've been busy to say the least!
Cheers, M/TB379
There's a show coming up near Detroit in the beginning of May, and I've added a Ju-88 to my shopping list
Well just found out that I painted the mottling wrong color. Hopefully I will be able to just spray over with correct color. And like Trey had on his it was a directive fir the starboard lower wing to be painted black.
Bob thanks hope you score a deal on a 88!
Doug thank you kindly
T Bolt 6th down is just fine, and thank you for hosting this great G/B! Really enjoying the fun and comraderie
TJ hope the respray goes smoothly, as for the color what are you going with ? The filter I used was some really thinned down(%75 thinner) testors sea blue, Looking forward to seeing what you do with it!
Trey mottled with 74 instead of 75. Seems way to dark. Got home from work late tonight. Will try for a re spray tomorrow night
Trey -- page 1 updated!
Well, comrades, we're a third of the way through the build and we have four completions. Let's see what we can pull out as the year progresses! I know I must get to mine, and have few excuses left (other than working four days a week again!)
Mike. 4 days a week. That would be wonderful. This 6 days a week is getting old. But the OT is nice
Ok re spray went well. Much happier with color now. Also liked how Treys came out with the black wing so thanks man I copied you. Painted the balkenkruze on the black wing. First time for that.
TJ -- looking good! And adventurous on that wing!
Markings are on. I am liking the look with the red.
Looking better and better TJ...I agree, red lends a nice touch!
TJ thats looking awesome, the respray is superb! Nice touch spraying the Balkenkruz on,I've not been that brave yet. I'm with Doug that red does add a nice touch !
I'm trying to wrap up the other Ju-88 so I can get back in here with the 310,do'nt give up on me gang, might take a bit tho.
Hey guys... Its been a bit quiet here lately, but the work going on has been top shelf! Give me about another week or so and I'll have everything plus the time to start my next contribution the Do17-Z. I finally received the decals today and the pe for the cockpit got here about a week ago. This will be an early war night incursion fighter having taken part in the "Blitz"of London. These were virtually all black, but I'd like to be able to exercise just a bit of artistic freedom on the finish. Thanks all... back soon!
Doug
We are fini. I am mostly happy with the way this came out. Learned a few new tricks and I know the next one will be even better. Comments and critiques welcome. John
Excellent finish! Any one would be proud to have that baby on display!
Thanks Doug. Other then minor nit picks I'm fairly happy with it. John
Fantastic, TJ! Really evocative, and superb painting! I'm thinking the second pic -- yes? I'll get it onto p1 when I get home fro work today.
John thats sure a beautifully done Ju-88 ,would be proud to have that on my shelf! The paint job with the reshoot and all just came out sweet and looks the part! Very nicely done Sir!
Page 1 updated -- we now have five completions. I really must make a start on mine in some significant way!
