Thanks Clemens! Not a bad looking kit, and the powerplant is killer! I'll be wanting to find one o them!!!

That's it! Excuse me guys...F8, not A8! It's neat to have the stand too.
I agree, Bish. I do hope they continue to make these quality, updated kits. I was thinking which WWII aircraft niche really hasn't been well covered, or modernized lately? Especially in 1/32.

I found some pictures of the test model:

The website is in German, but the text is neglectable anyways. The pictures on the other hand are very interesting.
It looks like we are going to have the option of building the landing gear retracted and there's even a pretty neat looking display stand included.
What really gets me excited is the engine though: We will get a complete BMW 801 radial with this one, and oh boy, it does look mighty fine!
The release seems to be scheduled for next spring and I'm definitely going to get me at lest one of those, for the engine alone!
panzerpilotSchattenSpartan Well, luckily I got more than enough 190s to keep me busy untill I can cut some plastic on my 109s... I hear ya. I gotta get busy on my Stuka! Off topic for this one, but I just read Revell is coming out with a 1/32 FW190-A8!

Revell seem to be coming out with some good kits lately, though I do hope they keep covering the subjects the other mainstream ones are not.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Oh, this is gonna be good! The big Hasegawa kits are great, but they are bloody rare to find nowadays and really expensive most of the time...

You mean we have to wait a whole month
Would it be ok if I washed my bits before then
jubya70: Don't worry about how old the kit is as Doug said. Old or new , there's plenty of help from alot of knowledge here. As my good buddy Bish said, go to www.photobucket.com and sign up for a free account. After you've done that we'll go from there and welcome to the Bf109 GB.
flyerduke...aka Craig: It'll be awesome having you in here and looking forward to both builds. I've built a 1/48 Hasegawa before and they turn out pretty good. There is an aftermarket correct size spinner available for them as the OOB one is pretty big.
lamRaider: I love watching scratch building as I learn new tricks every day and seat belts are almost a requirement now especially with an opened canopy.
Everybody: Well its almost a month away and we're off to a good start here. Now all we gotta do is wait..............................um...................just a few more weeks............................
The cockpit looks pretty sparse. I'm going to try my hand at improving it a tad by scratch. This is going to be a learning experience for me as I try several new things.
I do believe I will invest in some seat belts though as there are none, and I don't really have the patience to scratch them up.
Welcome Jubya... Age of kit isnt a problem, The Kit I intend to start with is 37 yrs old. Its an old Matchbox 1/32 kit, and I just love them! There are some glaring inaccuracies in the kit dimensions and such, but nothing that cant be over come with a bit of skill and patience. Glad your here and get on a photo sharing site lick photo bucket or flickr and sonmeone here (Jack comes to mind, lol) can walk you through the process.
Doug
Looks like it's going to be the 3rd design. Give me a couple of days to get one made for everyone. I'll send off the PMs with the designs as soon as I get em all done.
Raider: Welcome aboard! I got you added to the build list!
Jubya: You've definitely come to the right place! There are lots of great lads in here with some really impressive modelling skills! Don't worry, we'll take good care of you! Just tell me what version of the 109 that Monogram kit is and I'll add you to the front page.
Craig: Nice to have you in here as well! I'll add your E-7 to the build roster.
Nope, never. I have been buying them for the last couple of years, just a small select collection, but not had the chance to build one yet. I am normally a 72nd builder, so will be a little bit of a change.
Really?! You've never built a 1/32 scale kit? I will probably go with the E-7. I'll have to see what's on ebay for after market stuff. Should be fun!
Carig, hope you do go for the E-7. We can be 32nd first timers together. be interested to see one of those Trump kits.
Hey Clemens and Joe, I'd like to get in on this GB. Of course it will be after I finish the Hellcat and F-107 for the other GB's I'm in. I have a couple kits to choose from (pic below). I've never built a 1/32 scale kit before, or a 109 for that matter. So I'm leaning toward the E-7. I don't have any fancy pants after markets stuff for it like I do for the G-6. At least not yet. I like the idea of getting involved with this build since it looks like there are a lot of experienced models signed up. So I'm sure there will be a lot of good advice available like in the Pacific Carrier Aviation GB. This build will also motivate my to finish the other planes so I can join in here. Thanks.
Craig
Now someone is really keen to join. To post pics you need a hosting site such as Photobucket.
Hey guys jubya70 here. I would like to join in on this GB. I'm totally new to this. I have a Monogram 1/48 Kit. It is twenty plus years old. I started to paint it by hand, I don’t like the way it looks. I would like to repaint. I also have cockpit photo etch parts. I have never worked with the brass. My decals are old and I don’t know if they will work. I think they represent Jg300 but not sure. I know my kit small and not loaded with detail but since I'm new I don’t think starting small hurts. I could use all the help I can get. I do thank you. Happy Thanksgiving. Jubya70 PS I am having trouble adding pics. HELP!
Jubya70
Sounds good lamRaider! From what I can see , there's alot of AM for those old Hobbycraft kits.
I'll jump in on this .I've never done any any German aircraft before. I just picked up a few kits on Ebay, so this sounds like fun. I'll do a old 1/48 Hobbyrcraft G2.
Joe, I was thinking that as well, get an unofficial one.
I'm liking the third one myself Clemens. Hell I may even spring for two and get the first one too.
Moose: Looking forward to that D model. I have a C model in the stash that I have a few goodies for that this will probably encourage me to build. lol
Ah! Anton - kurfurst is A-K model series...
I'm going with the last one. It would be nice to have an inset yellow line border on it? So, screen name and then pilot name of build on the other side?
I like both the first and third designs. I never would have thought about having a mug printed up. Now I want one.
I have my Bf 109D in and now just have to get the aftermarket goodies for it. I can't wait to get started.
As Bish said... Tough choise... but...YES! (I know, thats not much help) Like em all, what ever the groupe decides is (as Buckwheat would say) "O-TAY" with me!!!
