Gentleman, some very nice working happening in this GB. I apologize for being AWOL, however, I just moved into a new home and my work area is not in the same condition as the last house. I will dig out the Star Destroyer and get some work done to it in the next week.

Hog fans - looking forward to it.
Anybody looking forward to force friday? I am wondering if I get one or two of those 25" tie fighters and keep one in box for thirty years if it will be worth anything. Lol

hog, no worries, thanks for dropping in and look forward to seeing those pics. Moving house is not very conducive to model building. Had not heard of that Nuc. just had a look and seems they are not doing that here. And our nearest Disney Store is an hour away.
Is that the Die Caste Darth vadar TIE, just saw that on their site.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Bish, it's the hasbro tie. It goes with the 6" black series. Supposed to be 25" tall and I think it comes with the pilot figure. Check out target.com they may have it listed.
O WOW, thats impressive, most impressive.

Love those Stormtrooper figures as well.
Yes, yes, the force is strong with hasbro. $170 will surely benefit the Empirial coffers. Hahahshahaha.
Well, keeping things moving along....just a quick update: got some paint down....
...weather meeeeeeeeee! Next I'll tackle the piping.
Thanks for looking,
PB
That is looking great Porkbits. I like the detail under the engine caps.
Thanks! That detail is unpainted. The product photos show it painted up nicely, but I'm keeping caps on so it would be a wasted effort.
Thanks, Bish! Going to try to get a wash on the fuselage tonight.
Hope everyone is doing well. FYI, Bandai announced a few more SW kits today:

Weathering of the fuselage and engines almost done, also painted the racing stripes on the side of the nose:
Think it has the suitably "burnt toast" look of a well-worn Y.
For those in the States, hope you have a good holiday weekend. Hoping for some bench time in between chasing the kids around.
Porkbits that looks amazing! The more I see these Bandai kits the more I want to get some.

Thank you, kind sirs!
Bob, you should definitely get one (or two, or three). The detail and fit is damned impressive. I'm typically an aircraft guy, so I've built my share of kits that have fought back beginning to end. Nice change of pace.
The only flaw is the molded yellow markings for the nose--pointless over-engineering in every sense of the word. Should've been left as decals.
So....should I do the Fine Molds X-Wing next? :-)
Do you really need an answer to that PB
Lol! Guess not. I'll pull it out of the stash.
Coming along nice, Porkbits. Those Bandai kits are pretty good, but I agree the colored parts a bit unnecessary. I am sure you are aware of the ones on the X-wing. If you are a rivet counter I have heard the extra parts add panel lines that are not supposed to be there.
Thanks, NMT!
I can confirm the yellow stripes add panel lines to the Y. It mars what is otherwise an almost perfect kit. Ah well.
Luckily, I'm doing the Fine Molds X-Wing next, so won't be a problem with that build (although I'm sure it has its own issues).
Well guys, just about done with Chewie. Here is what I have.
As soon as I can take the twist ties off I will get the final pics in. Boy, I tell you that crossbow was a pain to get the tension on the bow to stay. I hope it does not pop off when I take the ties off. In other news, C3PO is together. Will get to painting him soon. -Stephen

Nice, NMT! I can tell that bowcaster has a lot of tension--wear goggles when you take the ties off. :-)
3PO is looking good.
Thanks! Guess I'm committed to it now. :-)
Thanks guys, really looking forward to getting him done.
Porkbits - Yes, you have been committed. Just not sure if that is good or bad.
Don't worry Pork, it has happened to me more than once. Just nice to be able to return the favour.
Aha, no problem.
And I definitely need to be committed (institutionally).

Along with about half the guys on the forum.
And i am at the front of the line.
NucMedTech, that is looking really good. Amazing actually. Nice work.

In other news, I finally got started on my X-wing. It's going fast. Looks like paint will be the slow part of this build. Pics to some tommorrow once I get some more assembly done.
