Bish I'm calling my German Panzertriebwagen Locomotive finished. I set it in a large diorama I just completed even though my figures aren't done.

I pictured this locomotive after 7 years of war to be pretty beat up and lucky to have survived. In this setting I envisioned a locomotive waiting deployment.

I had a real dificult time taking photographs of such a large board thats approx 34" X 22". I hope you can use on of the shots but let me know if you need more.

Thanks, Terry

Terry, that is truly stunning work and scene. Yes

Equally impressed with the amount presented, all in roughly two months time, incredible really.   Again, thanks for sharing this.

Joe your comments are very kind.

Jack the base has taken me about 5-6 months but the locomotive was only about a month or so. Thanks for the nice comments, I really enjoyed this one.

Terry,

The Diorama turned out spectacular! I am in awe! It all just goes together so well! I can't say enough good comments about it! I still can't get over how well you created the rock formation! Great, great job!

Thanks hogfanfs.

Thanks Gamera: Those figures look sharp, wound how much trunk room there is in the Japanese Jeep?

Moff: Your off to a good start, never built a Trumper armor kit but I've heard the part counts can run high.

Modelcrazy: Photo-etch looks great.

Jibber: Very nice finish to your armored locomotive and diorama. The detail just pops out.

I've been away from the group build so my apologies if I missed someone. Work on my T-34 is just about to wrap up. After primer was applied I pre-shaded with model master gloss black #1747, next was the main color of model master Euro Dark Green #1764. To lighten it up I mixed #1764 with Light Gray #1732 in the center areas, and applied Flat Black #1749 to the tracks. To help darken the edges I mixed #1764 with #1749. The tow cables provided with the kit are string, so I replaced them with left over wire from a Dragon kit. After all final touch ups were done I airbrushed model master acrylic gloss clear. As it turned out the decals did not lay down on the turret, they just pealed off. So I removed them and just hand painted them on using Tamiya flat white XF-2, took about five to eight coats.

Dan, she looks really nice. Can't wait to see it done and add it to the front page.

And i should be joining the front soon. Got my figures today, just got the uniforms painted and once i add some detail i can fit them in and finish off the Arado.

Time to get this wrapped up. While i was waiting for the figures, i did put the bomb troller in its hole.

And with the figures duly ariving yesterday, i was able to get these painted up, nothing to complicated for German ground crews.

I had to do a bit of checking to place the figures right. They may look a bit odd now, but with the plane in place, they are doing a grand job. But you will have to take my word for that.

And then time to add the rest. The Officer figure is from Airfix. I cancelled my plan to add an access ladder as the aircrat is much lower than i had thought so a ladder is not really needed.

Add some chocks and a tool box to the back of the FAMO.

And there you have it. Been itching to build this for ages, so really pleased to have it built. Now looking forward to doing the big Jagpanzer in a few months.

Wow Bish, I have to admit that I haven't followed our Forums as much as I usually do and really didn't know you were building such a large and detailed board. My appologies, but thats one terrific build! I really love the jet itself but even more, that camo pattern. You've done a fantastic job building it up and painting what looks like a flawless pattern. Every vehicle, figure and every detail stands on its own and how you keep finding the right figures for what you need mystifies me. As usual, you runway bases are second to none and now a built in spot for the ammo carrier, just perfect.

Another one to be proud of Bish.

Thanks Terry. Fortunatly, those particular figures fit a lot of scenes. Unforunatly, you only get one of each in both the Revell and preiser sets. I used all 6 ground from the set i got, so looks like i am going to have to hunt for more.

And thank you, after all these years, i feel things are really coming together. Now i hope i can feel more confidant in how the aircrfat will turn out and concentrate on more interesting scnes and bases.

Bish, very nice scene presented here, an extremely well done body of work.  Excellent use of the figures, you made them look like they were specifically for this.  I'm not familiar with, what I think is the fuel truck?  What kit brand is that?

Jack

Thanks a lot Jack, ye, those figures were perfect for this, as soon as i saw them i knew they would work.

Do you mean the truck at the back. Thats an SS-100 tractor, but this is designed to run on coal gas, in reality it did not have the coal bunker on back. thats a Kora kit which came with the bomb trolley. Special hobby also do one as it was used as part of the V-2 rocket units.

@Dan,

Greta job on the modulation of the paint! And great job paint the turret number. The weather looks great! Do you plan to muddy this one up?

@Bish,

The dio did not turn out as good as I thought it would. It's by far better than what I thought! That is a work of art. I was wondering how you were going to depict the trench/hole for the bomb. The whole dio works very well together! Fantastic work!

Thanks Bish: Excellent job on your diorama build, the level of detail is great. A job well done. One of these days I'm going to try my hand at a 1/72 vehicle. Cool

Thanks Jibber, Gamera.

I'm calling my T-34/85 complete, this is by far the fastest model build I've ever done. Took me roughly 31 days from start to finish. This Academy kit is top notch, excellent part fit, very little to no gaps of any size. After I was happy with the painted on numbers on the turret I airbrushed on Tamiya XF-57 Buff, going heavy on the finders, bottom, and tracks. Then going light everywhere else, there's not many recessed areas only behind the turret, I apply my model master washer in there.

The exhaust's are painted with a mix of Tamiya Flat Brown and Metallic Grey. For this model I tried to make a antenna for the first time, by heating up a piece of plastic sprue over a candle and stretching it. Then I cut the piece I wanted to use to size and painted it tamiya flat black. Then I finished it off with a coat of testors dullcote.

My next model for this 1946 build will be Italeri's P-51 D/K Pacific Aces.  Should be a quick build. Cool

Dan, very nice build, I like the various tones of green on this Russian armour. Yes

Might want to add a little black in the muffler openings, makes it more convincing they are hollow.

Jack

The 34 looks great, I cant tell if you modulated the color or its a shadow but it looks fantastic. Airbrushing buff work great for a nice dusting, congrats on a nice buid.
