Since this will be over all of 2016 I will jump in. I'll continue easing my toes into the ship genre with Academy's 1/800 USS Kitty Hawk CV-63

Greetings, everyone.

I'd like to get involved with this GB. I have Tamiya's 1/700 (or is it 1/720?) USS Yorktown CV-5 to contribute. Ordered a reference book on the Yorktown class, plus a PE sheet from Tom's Model Works.

Thanks!

Hey Gents,

I would like to join in on this build.  I have not built a ship in over 20 years, but I have a 700 scale Kuznetsov in the stash.  Need an excuse to get it on the bench.

Oh that is true. A 1/350 Carrier is a real chore.

Anyone need 70's era 1/540 USN stuff? Have some Tomcats.

You have all been added. The Build is for the whole Year. If it takes longer then that should not be a problem considering how long some 350 Builds can take......Cheers mark

Sounds like a lot of fun I will build either the Tamiya's Enterprise 1965-1970 CVN-65 of the Trumpeter's USS wasp with Doolittle’s raiders each is scale 1:350 I just need to decide on which to build.

What will be the time for the build thoough I wanted to add a hanger deck to my build and don't want to hold the team up I can be a bit slow when I'm crafting.

Thanks

Mine will be the Delphis kit of MMI San Guisto in 1/700 scale.

This will be my first stab at a modern Italian ship, and my first Delphis kit.

I might be interested, havent done a carrier yet. Speaking of which, are there not any 1/350 RN Carriers out there besides the Airfix kit?

I will probably do either the Fujimi IJN Aircraft Carrier Hosho 1939 (1:700) or Fujimi IJN Aircraft Carrier Ryujo, First upgrade (1:700). Maybe add some generic PE (doors, ladders, etc).

They are not very good kits but I need so start somewhere and start building floatie things again and actually complete some.
