Glad to hear it, bob. I've updated the front page with your selection.
Should be an interesting subject. I've struggled with two 1/72 Bf109E-3/4's the past couple of weeks: Hobby Boss' so-called "easy assembly" version, which just didn't look right to me--especially in front of the cockpit--and the fuselage seems way too short; then also Airfix's old-mold E-4, which has such a large hole for the cockpit, I can't even find a vacu-formed canopy to fit it.
So, somewhere in the future, I'll try Airfix's new-mold E-3/4.
Checkmatingking02-please put me down for a 1/48 Tamiya bf-109E4/7-Desert camo scheme.
Plan on getting started after I finish the BoB GB/Weekend GB 109E3-maybe next weekend.
Bob
Bish Yep, that the one. Not the sort of pleasure you would want to recieve from Her Majesty.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3
Serendipity! So this is the place?
And congratulations on your new job.
checkmateking02 Bish: I found them doing a google search for "Christmas 1940," and there they were. I assumed Stradishall is in the UK, and since Her Majesty has invited us colonials back into the Empire, I thought it was appropriate.

Your very right it is, in fact its just down the road from me. And even more, since the start of last week, i work there. The old RAF base is now a prison, HMP Highpoint, and i work in the stores there. What a coincidance you found that one.
DantheMan85 I would like to enter in Cyberhobby.com 1/35 StuG. III Ausf. A & Dragon 1/35 Panzer IV Ausf. D DAK.

Now where did you dig those up. Funny you used one from Stradishall.
Done, Dan! Welcome to the GB! It's great to have you with us for 1941!
I've added you to the roster.
On my Work Bench: Tamiya Ford GT 1/24
Up Coming: ?
Thanks CMK. Yep 1/72. I wanted to build this kit in all of the schemes released by Airfix. SO far I think there are 4.
Cheers
Tony
I'm just taking it one GB at a time.
I'll update the roster, Tony. Is that 1/72 scale?
OK--found it online at airfix.com; it is 1/72! Good choice!
Hi CMK,
My first build for this GB will be this thing:
checkmateking02"By then, it would also have gone through France, and maybe heading for Soviet Union! A well-traveled vehicle."
Hmmmmmmmmm... I figure she'd be dragging her fenders by then! That could make for some intresting modeling opportunities.
Done, SMJ. I imagine it'll be looking a little worse for the wear, two years after the Polish campaign. By then, it would also have gone through France, and maybe heading for Soviet Union! A well-traveled vehicle.
checkmateking02: Put me down for a 1/35 Tamiya Pz.Kpfw.II Ausf C. It's the 1939 Polish Campaign kit so it'll be fun to depict a two year battle-worn veteran!
Welcome to the GB, Brandon! Glad to have you with us for 1941. I've updated the roster with your Dewoitine, and when/if you decide to do the P-40, I'll add that.
For myself, I'd like to get Airfix's 1/72 P-40 and do up a Flying Tiger from the AVG
I will definitely do something in this one. Right now, I plan on getting the new 1/48 Airfix P-40B that is coming out next year.
As far as kits I actually possess and plan to enter, I would like to do the 1/48 Tamiya Dewoitine D.520 in Vichy French markings flown by Pierre le Gloan.

Hi Checkmateking,
I'm in with a TBD. No, not one of those TBD's, it's just TBD Hmm, now that I think of it, maybe a TBD.
checkmateking02: I'm kickin' the tires of this GB...I'll go check the stash
Ok, just been doing some checking and i have made my choice. I have planed a few none GB build next year (like thats going to happen) but if they happen to fit into a GB then so be it.
One of them is the Special Hobby 1/72nd Whirlwind FB. Mk 1. I am doing an aircraft of 137 Sqn based at Matlaske. While they recieved the type in August, they moved to Norfolk in Dec, so it just squeeze's in to 1941.
