Maybe we all ought to build a Spitfire, just to go along with whatever else we do in the GB?!

Then we would hear the groaning from Bish from across the pond

Umm, Bish, would a Spitfire qualify??

There i was, haveing a nice day (well, for a Monday). I got to work, had a few mins spare, thought i would pop on and see what you guys were up to. I saw loads of posts for the 2 GB feelers and thought great, loads on interest.

And then i saw this. Some one had to ask didn't they. And it had to be you.

Yes, that infernal machine counts.

If there is a bright side, at least my day can't get any worse. Thanks Bruce.Big Smile

Sorry, Bish, someone had to yank your chain! LOL! Stick out tongue

Looks like you have plenty of interest! Most likely I'll commit closer to the April start date, and it won't be one of those infernal machines! I promise! Big Smile

I'm interested too.

Just to be sure, non British designed aircraft are accepted, as long as they have RAF markings?

regards,

Jack

I'd be up for it Bish, but would leave a decision on the subject until it actually kicks off.

Cheers

Tony

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.

You know you want to G, and it wouldn't be the same without you. And there plenty of time to finish those off and jump in here later. I have managed to really cut down on my GB's. I think i was in 10 or so at one time. Now i am only have 3 i am commited to.

Oh gosh Bish, I said I wouldn't get into anymore GBs and then entered about five or so...

Maybe, maybe, I'll join you guys here. I'll have to see where I'm standing in April. If I do I have a 1/48th Eduard Hawker Tempest I started on the cockpit but never got beyond it. I've been thinking about just over-painting that and starting over from scratch.

I thought i would get this one out early before people start planning their builds for next year.

April 1st 1918 saw the founding of the worlds first Independent Air Force, the RAF (AKA Crab Air), with the amalgamation of the Army's Royal Flying Corps and the Navy's Royal Naval Air Service.

So, who would like to join in marking this event in the way we know best, with a Group Build. If there is enough interest, the build will run from April 1st 2017 for 12 months. It would be open to any build from the RAF, aircraft of course but also vehciles, figures, busts and anything else RAF related.

It would also be open to builds from the RAF predecessors, the RFC and RNAS, as well as Fleet Air Arm builds from its founding by the RAF in 1924 until it was handed over to the Navy in 1939. Also included would be foreign Squadrons which flew with the RAF.

So, who want's in.
