The 2017/ 2018 Too Little Too Late Group Build
Posted by mustang1989 on Sunday, January 29, 2017 8:01 PM

Hello and welcome to the 2017/ 2018 “Too Little Too Late”  Group Build. The focus of the group build will be centered around German aircraft during  the later part of the war. Planes that were still on the drawing board at that time will be allowed as well. The build will start on 01 February 2017 and end on 2 February 2018. Andy (Rooster513) and I were kicking the idea of a Group Build around  and then an idea became a feeler. Before we knew a lot of people became interested and here we are with this. I've gotta say,  I've been looking forward to building a late war jet for a few years now and now's the chance. Andy and I will be hosting this GB together and we’re really looking forward to an exciting year of late war Luftwaffe builds.  With that, lets kick this thing off , share some ideas and techniques and have some fun here folks!!

    The guidelines are as follows:

      1) Any scale, any late war German aircraft that flew (prop or jet propelled) or on the drawing board at that time.

     2) Aftermarket item's are completely allowed.

     3) Crossovers are welcome.

     4) Started builds are good to go.

     5) You can enter any time within the group build time frame.

     6) Please post pictures of works in progress.

     7) Be social, encouraging and have fun.

The badge for the group build is being put together and will be available thanks to jgeratic (aka Jack) .

So with that it appears that we are set to have an enjoyable build here. Will be seeing you, Joe

And there's Andy. Good to see you in here already. It all worked like a charm bud. Looks like we're ready to roll this thing forward. I didn't really like how the font switched on me in the lead post but I'll fix that. Small stuff.

So...............................everybody ready?

I've heard those Hasegawa 234's are pretty nice kits.  Can't wait to see yours. And I'm sure all the 162's will look fantastic!

Chad: Yes sir they are fair kits. The only thing I really don't care for is how the cockpit assy mounts to the body.

Bish: Yes sir that's the one. Moving like frozen pondwater on it though which is why it's going to fit perfect in here. lol

I'm in!  Not sure what the kit will be yet, I have two builds in front of this one still.  I have a few to choose from: Fw-190D-9/11/13, Ta-152H /C, Me-262, He-162, Do-335 (all 1/48th), 109k, Me-262, He-162, Fw-190D-9(late), Ta-152 (all 1/32nd).

I'm having a hard time deciding!  But with a year I might be able to get two in on this one.  Right now I'll say to sign me up with the Eduard Fw-190D-11. But not 100% on that.
