Count me in as well! And thank you for the generous time line! :) I will most likely be going forward with my 1/32 Hase Barkman fw-190D-9.. Not sure about colors / markings / Am parts etc yet but I would like to incorporate some positive rivets somehow.  My wildcard option would be for my Tamiya 1/48 me 262 A2. Ill be starting in a couple weeks after I send off this academy P-38 Smile

Looking forward to everyone else's build and taking part in my first GB! Cheers, all!

I'm in!  Not sure what the kit will be yet, I have two builds in front of this one still.  I have a few to choose from: Fw-190D-9/11/13, Ta-152H /C, Me-262, He-162, Do-335 (all 1/48th), 109k, Me-262, He-162, Fw-190D-9(late), Ta-152 (all 1/32nd).

Wow!!!!

I'm having a hard time deciding!  But with a year I might be able to get two in on this one.  Right now I'll say to sign me up with the Eduard Fw-190D-11. But not 100% on that.

Good to see you in here Matt! I'll put you down as TBA so that you're on the roster. After you decide we'll go from there bud. Looking forward to this.

Me too, think there are going to be a bunch of great builds on this one!  Thanks!

I'd like to get in on this if possible.  I have the Meng 1/32 ME-163 looking for an excuse to build.

Guys, glad to help out with the badge.  Oh and if anyone was wondering, the spelling of February is in German - the font I used did not have the letter 'y' - or at least I could not find it.

----------------------

I have a couple choices, one is in the stash in the form of the 262.  It was earmarked for Bish's 1946 GB last year, but It might remain there when that comes around again.  The other is the 109H, which is not in the stash.  Put me down as TBA, as right now the bench is full with other projects.

regards,

Jack

By the way, this is a little fun we had locally  while I was laid up after surgery last summer, The theme was... What if? In other words, had the war gone on a year or two more what might have been developed.... Some pretty wild builds were done, but heres what I came up with...

I melded these two together, and came up with ...

This...   I always liked the desert schemes and had always wanted to do some sort of Jet Powered STUKA. Any way. It was fun while I was recouperating for a month, lol... Can't wait to get going here!

LOL Doug. That sure looks different and so cool.

Reminds me of something a modeler did using a He 177 and a locomotive   Tongue Tied

It was displayed in the front window at Orange Blossom Hobbies in Miami back in the 70s.

I haven't finished an aircraft in over 2 years due to being in the automotive scene. I know ......... I've been a deserter. Indifferent This GB here will change that though.

I have , however had some fun this last year. I got two done which is a record for me. It's usually just one.

This one took me 10 months and went from this:

The other one was a fun build but turned out pretty cool. This is an AMT "Der Beetle Bus" with a clear green body with metal flakes in the molding. I painted the inside of the body gold and shot the exterior with automotive gloss clear:

I have a picture of it somewhere. I just have to figure out where. Yes it was something very weird looking indeed.

Joe

Those are some cool looking rides man! The paint looks like glass.

Thanks Doug and Ernie. It's taken me a couple of years but I think I've got the gloss finish down to where I'm comfortable with it. Please do show me that street rod Doug. I definitely down with that. Ernie.........A 177 combined with a locomotive? You're gonna have to post pics of that!!!

Okeedokee folks. It's that time!!!! Wooooo Hooooo!! Let's get this thing started!

I'm going to walk you all through my current build to where I'm at now with it so let's get this thing up and running shall we..................

Here we go:

It's been a long while since I've done anything aviation related so it's been really difficult to decide on what I'm going to do for an ice breaker for the last few months. I bounced back and forth from Ta-152 to an Fw190 D series to a 190 A series to finally .........this:

A Hase offering of the 234:
Image

I bought two of these because every time I start hackin' on a build for detail add ons like cockpits or engine displays or anything like that I have inherent problem of messing something up along the way to the point of being unrepairable so I just head it off at the pass with a spare parts kit. I don't know when exactly I'll get started on this bad boy as I still have to finish up my '54 Chevy Panel Wagon that I'm building in the Auto section here but I decided to post a Threadlocker anyway.

Here are the upgrades:

lol. The cockpit is what proved to be fairly challenging as well. I'll walk you guys through the assembly and paint process to get caught up to where I'm at now. I've gotta say that this is one of the best AM cockpit sets I've ever seen as far as WWII aircraft are concerned.
