I missed this as well. Thats a cracking looking build there matt, great combination of the wood and metal, brilliantly done.

Missed this one from a few days back and man was this worth the wait!!! Matt you've done a fantastic job with this one. It was surely good to have you in here amongst some of the best builders on the web man. I'll git 'er up front within the next day.

I still have not managed to get my workshop set back up, I'm about halfway there but this Masters program is taking up 99% of my free time right now.  I have found about 1/3 of my supplies that were packed before we moved, just need to go back through what is left to find the rest.  Would hate to have to purchase all those paints, thinners, washes, etc all over again.

I have my He-162 together and on its gears, just needing the time for one final gloss coat and some decals.

Well, I finally got everything together with this little kit and completed the base (for now), and have uploaded pictures.

Well, certainly looks like you have gotten thge hang of it. I keep putting off doing any nighfighters with that type of scheme. I'm ok with mottling tails and small areas, but have not yet tackeled anything like that. Going to have to soon.

Man that is CHOICE right there!!! One of these days I'm going to have bust out with mine.............................one of these days.

It's been great having you in here SB and hope that things get better in your world pal. I'll be putting this one up front in the intro post where it belongs. It'll be a while till I run another GB. I finally finished!  Sorry it took so long past the end date, but all the health problems really got in the way.  This is the 1/48 Monogram Do335 built as a night fighter.  The kit is pretty good despite its age.

Looking great Bob. Thats what i like about Luft 46 builds, can put what ever colours and markings you like on them.

Your Do-335 is looking great in those night fighter colors.  You've done a bang up job on that kit.  I built the Tamiya one a while back and was a great kit (if you can find it on Ebay).

Such a cool looking aircraft.  Yours looks great!

I managed to get all the decals on.  They are a mix of decals from the kit and the spare decal stash.  I figure since the night fighter version never went into production I could put whatever markings on it.

Bob, great work on that camo. Come out really well.

Well I was pretty happy with the pace I was keeping and then I started my chemo treatments.  It really takes it out of you .  But it is what it is.  I finally finished the paint, even though I had to go back and fix it a couple of times.  Nothing to fancy, just mottles of RLM 75 over RLM 76.

Good lookin' paint work there SB! Looking forward to more out of this one! Hope you're doing okay buddy.
