Great results on the dam and the buster, Justin.  Looking good.

Might be sparse, Gamera, but it's a nice looking cockpit; well done!

Johnny, your Harrier looks just great. It was fun to watch it go together, and you've moved me one step closer to trying a contemporary jet, if not a Harrier.

Looking forward to the Tornado. I really like that scheme (never saw it before), and it will be a timely tribute to Sir Roger too.

Greg partially intentional. Remember watching the Saint when I was young. Then seeing him as Bond, James Bond.

Thanks guys!

Gamera, in actuality,  that's not frothy water (yet), but rather, it is still "wet"....I used a product called acrylic gel medium...something artists use...and it is pretty thick, and takes a while to dry...especially when a front moves through, and the humidity skyrockets!

TJ: The Harrier looks fantastic, nice work there.

And I love that Tornado. As Greg said that would be a timely tribute to Sir Roger.

Justin: Great job there. I love the frothy water and the 'spinning' props look great.

Toshi: She's coming along spendidly!

BTW: I did get a little more work done on the Tempest. I think I said that the kit cockpit is pretty Spartan compared to the 'busy' cockpit on the real thing. Still there's so little visible inside I decided just to go ahead and not add anything other than the Eduard pre-painted PE seatbelts. I think these are right, I found a bunch of photos of the cockpit on the internet but none with a really good view of the belt buckles.

A bit more progress was made today...I was able to get the acrylic gel medium down on the water portion of the dam, as well as get some primer on the dam itself...

I do believe I can call this done.  This kit is highly recommended. A few minor gripes but overall this kit is a winner.

That looks absolutely superb!  What a fantastic job!

Justin, thanks for the WIP pics on the PE blur props, per my demand ....errrr, ....request.

Please keep 'em coming and do get the camera working so we can see how you paint the things. Keeping one styrene prop as a handle was a clever idea!

Toshi, decals are really dressing up your Mosquito. You know you gotta do those stencils......

Beav, aye, I was sincere too. That said, I sure got a kick out of Chris' Beav and Wally post because I have to admit I think of the same every time I see your screen name. Geeked

Yes, a thousand and one stencils!  LOL!

This one.

I have seen that before, i do like that.

That's it. The Italeri kit has 5 options this one is the only British.

So that scheme comes with the kit, nice. Should be a fun one to watch.

The Harrier looks great TJ. I love the way you did the camo. I try to stay away from schemes like that but will have to give the Blue Tack a try.

I like the Tonka Saint.  That should be interesting.

Last night I started working with the photoetched propblur propellers...let me tell you...holy crap are they figety!  The points at which they were attached to the fret were so small, even with my 2.5x optivisor in place, I could barely see them!

The props come with two types of blades...individual blades, I assume, that can be installed over top of the original prop, and three blades mounted to a central hub.  I chose the latter, which required me to clip off the plastic blades...

Lancaster dambusters build...propblur propellers assembly by Justin Ryan, on Flickr

I left one blade on for a handle...

Lancaster dambusters build...propblur propellers assembly by Justin Ryan, on Flickr

They are attached to the hub with a drop of superglue and a spritz of accelerator.

Here is all four props finished assembly, I sprayed a coat of high temp enamel  (it's the only satin black I had available) last night, but did not get any photos yet.  As you can see just past the finished props, the props also came with a pair of 1/72 scale photoetched bicycles!   I think one of them might look fantastic leaned up against a 1/72 Sopwith Camel I built just after the holidays.....
