All major airframe components are attached. AMS has set in however and I have started rescribing lost detail around the wing roots. I told myself I was not going to do this... Oh well. Also adding some wingtip lights.

Good job on your builds guys. I finally started on mine today. I decided to make the 262 NMF and putty lines  and abandoned as part of a small dio a la Bish. More on that later.

Got things glued up and clamped.

got the tiny pit together which has sparse details but the canopy will be closed in the dio so little will be seen any way.

Clamps are off and seams partially sanded and polished. Still need to run some PPP to putty up the panel lines I scribed earlier.

That's all for now......

Keyda, you're off to a good start. I don't think that I've seen too many of the Monogram 117's built.

One thing, the Mafia GB badges are only supposed to be displayed after being earned for the completion of the two builds within six months. Part of our "being made" status for all of the previous Monogram Mafia GBs.

Oops, lol.  I was trying to fix my signature after the whole photobucket fiasco, and didn't realize I put that one in there!  Took it out for now.

Looking good dasbeav. Are those the kit  wheels?

Thank you. And they are the kit wheels. A little flash but not to bad for a 50 year old mold.

Started on the F-117 last night.  Not a whole lot of progress to report.  Just some work on the cockpit.

Fotki has a free-for-30, no card # required. I tried it and am happy with it. I just signed up for $ 24/ year for 100 GB storage. Fast, no ads.

OK, so I started my P-47 on the 10th.  I'll post pictures once I've figured out a hosting site.

I build 1/48 scale WW2 fighters.

Have fun.

Starting on my Ju 87. After taking a 3 week break from modelling where I just golfed and binged watch Orphan Black, I am ready to be "made". Started last night by gluing some stuff together and "scratching" some rudder pedals. (The cockpit needed "something") Tonight I will lay down some primer and hopefully get to painting the "pit" tomorrow...

Frees & Mark (Duke), your selections have been added to the roster. I'm looking forward to them!

CB, excellent work on the heaters! Right down to the angle across the leading edge parallel to the ground.

PJ, yes sanding off the panel lines and then painting a thin line of primer for underneath the warpaint woukd probably give the most realistic look to achieve the proper results.

Thanks for the info stik, I'll look into that for sure.

Here's a nekkid one for you where you can see the metal and putty work...

Been doing a little research and seems like most 262s were taped up as above at the factory then had their paint jobs done over the putty/tape lines. Read somewhere best way to replicate the effect is to either sand raised lines or fill in recessed ones then use a brush to apply some paint to simulate the above effect then paint over with the RLM colors.

Thanks again stik for saving me from doing a hair pulling task.

Those guns are shaping up, great job!

Working on the wings ths weekend. Installing sleaves for proper guns (aka heaters). Working on the stabilizer joint as well--Don't really want to add any filler here..

Just a thought... but the 262 had its panel lines puttied and sanded smooth for better aerodynamics. Like the wings on a P-51. Aside from access panels, they really should not be there. If you want to save yourself some scribing work.

A bunch of great looking builds going on!

I decided to try my hand at scribing the whole plane so I have been slowly chipping away on the 262. Not much to see but will post once I have it re scribed.

What pair was it again Mark?

It was these two: The P-40 amd P-51

Thats what I thought. Yup, both original Monogram moldings if you choose to build them for this GB.

Accurate aloso reboxed the Monogram 1/72 F-4 Phantom from Monogram.

Ok... I'll get your stuff updated in a couple of days on the roster. I saw the Hyperscale article, but payed no attention. I'm already off and running with Postimage.org... so far, so good there. Quite easy to use.

Dom Stick

Only about a week late but make my second kit the 1/48 Zero.  Got pics of it and the Skipjack on my phone and as soon as I get set up on imgur in the next day or two I will start posting pics.

BTW there is a nice tutorial over on the Hyperscale site for IMGUR.  Looks easy. (I hope) I am gonna make photobucket kick the bucket!
