I do believe that eventually all the "free" picture hosting sites will slowly go away. Even the one I have been using, Imageshack was $18 a year and went up to $40. So even the cheapre ones have been increasing their prices bit PB at $400 a year is pure madness.

Sooo back to this family meeting. I'm back yet for another round of "family business" with a couple of pure blooded Mono kits, 1/72 Dornier and 1/48 Me 262.

Any ideas on the GB Badge design?

Stik,

Please put me down for a 1/48 F-86, which I hope I can do as well as your latest post. And a 1/48 B-29 which I plan on doing as the Kee-Bird.

It's in all the mafia movies. If the fellas come to take you for a ride, put you in the front passenger seat, and one of them sits behind you... you're gonna get whacked.

Not a problem, Stik. Although, I don't think I understand the meaning of that last sentence. Must be an "Army" saying us Marines don't understand......Propeller Smile

Nice work on the badge stik, I really like it a lot!

As much as I would like to say I created the badge, B_one fixer is the man who created this one. He gets all the credit.

Devil Dawg, I just have not been able to update the roster yet. It is much easier to do off my laptop a opposed to my phone. No ride for you in the front seat with somebody behind you.

Ok all youse, the roster has been updated.

I welcome the new applicants, PFJN and lewbud, and have updated GM and Modelcrazy's kit selections. It looks like the inclusion of AMT is expanding ou Auto entries, very nice.

Just under a week until we start.

Uhhhhh, begging your pardon, Don Stik, but you forgot me on the roster......... I hope this isn't akin to the "kiss of death"......  Indifferent Dead Wilted Flower Propeller

Looking forward to this one. I didn't finish the last Mafia build in time to be "made", but I did eventually finish my two kits.

Depending upon your time zone, not too much longer than 72 hours to go before we kick off... for those folks with a working photo hosting site....

I've been using http://postimage.io/ for about 6 months. So far so good. You upload your images(s) and you get links to them. You don't get your own album, so if you lose your links, you have to upload them again. I like this style. there is no user name or logging in, Just upload and copy the link.

Thanks for the heads up on that site B_one... no matter what new site that I choose to migrate all my images over to, I know what I'm doing tomorrow while I'm hungover...

Well folks, it looks like Photobucket is going for the hostage routine- give them money or you'll never see your hosted photos on another site again. So who has a image hosting site they can recommend?

I started using imgbb.com , So far so good. I got tired of the photobucket flakeyness.

If we get a new "soldier" asking to join, someone needs to build the "Red Baron".

Some use Flicker, a few use Google or something I, PJ, and a few others use Imageshack. There is a yearly fee which is $40 I believe but I have never had ANY problems with them. As fay as moving stuff over, I still have a PB account the I'll cringe and go into on occation. I'll copy a few pictures and move them over but I found that I don't need most of those old pics anyway. The pictures that are valuable are stored on a USB.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

What are they asking?

imagine the hours involved moving all of your files...

$400 a year...

not no, but HELL NO!

I second that.  Just stupid.  What is everyone going to use?  Any suggestions?

Don Stick,

Just when I thought I was out of this thing, you go and call a meeting of the family.....I can ignore the call no more.  With your approval, I will rejoin the family on this build. I scored a major deal on eBay with a "Young Modelers" collection of Monogram kits.  I will have to dig them out to see which kits are included....I beg your indulgence!!

TAD

2022 New Year's Resolution:  Enter 1 group build and COMPLETE a build this year!!  Why Photobucket did you rob me of my one Group Build Badge???  Must be part of the strong anti-Monogram cartel!!!
