Pinkbooger

Opened up the box yesterday. It is pretty small but as it was already stated; that just means less glue and paint. lol. Kind of dissappointed that there really isn't any cockpit but not too dissappointed. lol.

2 questions.

1. Random. What dimensions should i use when posting pictures. this one is 600x600

2. I bought model putty but have never used it. I would like to use it on the bod of this one to take away the seam. There are tiny rivets around the seam that will most likely be taken away. Should I worry about that? And what tips for using the putty?

pb, as far as the putty what you can do is put tape along both sides of the seam to protect the river detail from being filled in. Might be able to give more advice if we know what brand of putty you are using.

Put me down for two. I've got a 1/72 scale FW-190-A8 from Italeri and a 1/48 scale Bf-109-E4/N Trop from Airfix.

The tough part will be painting the mottleing. Huh?

I'll start on it tonight.

The nice thing about this new scale of mine is it takes up less space, less glue, less paint and less money.
This is the first of several in 1/144.

Sweet! Count me in. I will put this on the bench with the 69 dodge and do them both at the same time. Since I have so much time to do this in I will be able to do research and get some airbrush practice in. Really excited about this!! You should make badge for us also! lol.

Great to have you aboard pinkbooger and your first one to boot! Looking forward to your build! I'm starting to work on a badge and will hopefully have it up this weekend or so.

Hi all. I am interested in this GB. This would be my first one! Will this work for the build? I am new so I am worried that my level of building will not be up to par or expectations for a GB?

Interesting looking kit. We don't get Lindberg over here, so will be nice to see somthing different. And don't worry, all levels are welcome in the GB's on here. All thats needed is a kit, a camera and a sense of humour and your well away.

I know Andy will welcome you when he checks in.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Brandon,

I have never seen one of these built...looking forward to watching you build this one.

I am stoked about building this one. It is motteled upper and lower heavily and should take some time to paint. It looks super cool in the box art. Thanks for the kind words.

BK

I am definitely going to watch your build because you have me wanting one now. Man, it is such a cool looking kit.

PB,

Your kit is perfect for this GB. And do not worry about your level of building. I am still new to this great hobby and a GB is the best place to learn tips and techniques from all of the members involved in the GB. I have learned quickly that everyone in the forums are more then happy to help...don't hesitate to ask questions. That is one of the great things about a GB...the conversations that take place. If you read all of them I promise you will learn something. Happy to see you join, and just enjoy the build. Look forward to seeing your build.

This sounds like it's going to be fun!

Put me down for both a Bf 109 G-10 and an Fw 190 D-9, both 1/32 Hasegawa.

I got a bunch of goodies for both of them, so I might go a bit crazy with that...

Looks like we should have some really nice builds coming!

I'll be doing a 1/72 Hasegawa Fw190 F-8. I picked it up along with a resin pit at a show earlier this year.
