brandon my kit has 2 versions 1 condor and 1 pre war. im going to go with the pre war just because i have never did a pre war with the red band on the tail. i will be useing all model master primer and paints im used to them and they work for me i also will be mixing the colors to scale with white with a little blue in it. im glad you threw up the RLM 02 color i forgot about that and probabley used RLM66. your pit looks great by the way.

i did a little research on the condor color and according to my schamatic book by kagero the condor 109s was deliverd in all natural metal. but my instructions in my airfix 109e-1 says a color close to RLM63. i have read in the past that they where all metal treated with a typ of acid wash that dulled the metal and protected it from the elaments ?2017-10-19_04-44-40 by Jerry Richards, on Flickr2017-10-19_04-50-19 by Jerry Richards, on Flickr

Thank you sir!  The painting went alright last night.  Not crazy about the overall scheme, but I matched it as best I could to the instructions.  Trying to do Hans Hahn's 190.

Hey everyone,  some really nice builds going on.  Really enjoying the variaty of planes!

Here she is after painting.  Not overly crazy about it, but maybe after some weathering she will look better.  The Tamiya kit actually came with a page of the camo scheme in the models scale!  So I made a copy of it, cit out the patterns I needed, and used my glass plate and cut tape to the camo shapes.  It worked out well doing that.  The colors on the other hand....I'm trying to match it to Hans Hahn's 190.  Again, this has just been a joy to build!  This Tamiya kit is wonderful.  Thinking about pulling another from the stash. 

The Eduard mask set for the canopy and tires worked great!  Word of advice...just be sure to use the correct masks for the aircraft you are doing!    Yeah, I did that.  LOL!

Well I hit a wall with the 190!  Went to put the decals on after weathering her up and they all just fell apart in the water!  So I'm looking for decals now.  So, the 190 is on hold until I can get some decals with Hans Hahn's 190 A-3.  Had to laugh...2017 has been the WORST year for me and decals! 

That stinks!  But your definitely better off using aftermarket decals!  I think your paint looks great BTW.

Thank you sir!!  No, I don't think it is a Tamiya aircraft thing.  I had someone from across the pond bless me with a Tamiya 335 and it was a spectacular kit!  Decals and all.

Yeap, that is the one I found that fit the bill.  Couple of places over here have it, just need to get them now.

Thank you sir!  LOL!  I have had a time with decals this for some reason.  Tamiya are really good kits.  I think most of my problem is me....I rarely buy retail.  I buy at shows and for some reason, estate sales seem to fall into my lap, so I...on average... have older kits.  So don't fret about your kits.  I'm sure they will be fine.  Thanks again!

hello schattenspartan i also like the later 109s when i seen this 1 at the LHS i had to have it. i dont think i have ever seen a scale kit of the 109 before there E variant ever!.

the kit looks basic but whell done I'm going to have to paint the dash which is somthing I need a lot of practice with

I may jump in with a f model from zevezda after this one.

Wow, already so many cool builds going on here!  But seriously, Steve's little 1/144 plane is the one that really has me shaking my head in wonder.  Bravo!  I don't know how you even work at that scale, let alone turn out something that looks that good! 

I probably won't be starting my Fw 190 until early next year, but I'll be checking in here frequently to see what everyone is doing.  Keep up the great work everyone!

Thank you sir!  The kit was a sweet one for sure.  Highly recommend it.  Just waiting on decals to finish it up.

Hey Bobby sorry to hear about the decal issue. One thing you may try next time with old decals is to hold the decal sheet in different angles against a good light source. If you see tiny cracks on the film then it's no good. I've had a couple of old sheets that looked new to the eye till I played with the angles and light.

Thanks for the tip Ernie!  I did not think to do that.  They did look perfect to the naked eye, but man, once they hit water!  It was a mess.  LOL!  Thanks again!

Hello everyone. 

I'm back in town after a long stint away from the bench ..ill be work in town for awhile I hope ..so I'm working on the 190 D..ive been painting and finnished the pit ..and all the parts like gear box and lines .mixing my own rlm colors (tamiya paints).thats takeing some time to do ..its comeing along great ..and for the 190 f8 . Last night ive washed and dry.d out the parts for that one . Soon as i figure out flicker..ill have picks for one and all .

Thats very bad luck with the decals Bobby, I hope you can find some that work for you. I usually give old decals a precautionary sprayed gloss coat before wetting them.

I would like to change my entry for this GB, as I the decals I want to use are for a 109E-3, and my Tamiya kit is and E-4/E-7 Trop.

I plan to do a few builds for this GB.

First up is this kit, with these decals. THis kit has options for an E-3 or an E-4, so I'll do the E-3.
