I'll echo taxtp, nice quick start on that one.

Thanks, hope to it justice since it came from friends, and I live in the state.  I think it may end up at the Veteran's Home here in town, if it turns out well enough

GH...I have no doubt you are going to do a steller job on your build. That's a great idea to donate it to the Veteran's home.

I got alittle more done today...painted the pilot, installed the landing gear and canopy. I plan on completing it tomorrow or Saturday morning. Take it easy on me...I'm still trying to perfect my figure painting LOL Confused

I am going to mask off the canopy tonight...giving the glue time to fully cure.

Take it easy on me...I'm still trying to perfect my figure painting LOL

Look's better than any "Stick figure " I can produce !

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

Nice, something I was doing a while back was scaling down a photo and glueing that in.  I stoped for some reason but it worked well.

Hunter- that is going to look awesome when finished, soaring through the clouds like that.

Retired- nice start on it, more guts than I'd have to paint the instruments.

68- good start as well.

Got a start on the office on the Eagle, pics when It gets painted.  Also ordered the clear acrylic rod to hang her in flight from the exhaust.

68,

Let me see what I've got, maybe a 1/144 F-5? I have a few things going on right now and not sure of my short term building future but I'll get to it if/when I can.

Would a North American F-82 all-weather/ night fighter qualify as an interceptor?

GH,

Thank you very much for the kind words sir...I am in the process of tweeking it alittle, two wiser modelers gave me sound advice on the color of the base. So I am redoing that.

Thats a yes on the F-82s

The first F-82F models began to reach operational ADC squadrons in September 1948. By the end of September, ADC had 29 F-82Fs. By the middle of 1949 the F-82 was replacing Black Widows in service with Air Defense Command along the west coast at Hamilton AFB, California (317th FIS) and McChord AFB, Washington (318th FIS, 319th FIS). East coast defense was the mission of the Twin Mustangs assigned to McGuire AFB, New Jersey (2d FIS, 5th FIS).

MC - what ever you have when you have the time.  I know that F-5 play an interceptor role in a few countries.

Thanks 68.

If that didn't work I also have an F-16 and F14 both in 1/144, but both of those can/could carry bombs. I guess the F-5 could as well but it seemed more like an intercepter.

Cool!  Put me down for the Monogram F-82. I’m going to order a photoetch are for the cockpit and I’ve got a couple to finish up ahead of it but I should get started before the end of the year.

Built this F-82 a while ago and it served the all weather interceptor role.

I really like the looks of that instrument panel.  I would probably go blind trying to build that.

I’ll be original as a +3 on the instrument panel.

69GT that looks good. That’s the scheme I plan on as well. Hope mine comes out that nice.
