Hey everyone...man there are some awesome builds going on here! Great work!
Well, with all these great builds going on, I decided to do another bomber. This kit has been a little bugger for sure! It's no secret I'm a buy models at low prices kinda guy and I'm not afraid to walk out of a model show with 20-25 OLD kits! LOL! So, yes, I pay the price in the long run with bad decals, missing parts, bad fits, you get the point, but this one is the first time I've run into brittle plastic! The very small parts (ie landing gear, antenna, etc.) have been crazy stupid! I'd say 60% of the parts broke and I had to do repairs on them! I tried every method to keep them from snapping, but sometimes it just didn't work. The fit has been over all good, instructions easy to read, but the brittleness of the plastic has really tried my patiences! LOL! Anyway, here is what I've done so far. Hope to have her finished this weekend.
Sorry, can't find the pics of the model box. It's an Italerei Ju86 D1 Kit #114 in 1/72. And just to prove my "cheapness" I got it at a yard sale for $3. LOL!
Haha, since then I've been thinking of a TBD Devastator or a Mosquito bomber !
Cheers
Tony
I'm just taking it one GB at a time.
Tony , I know what you mean...so many great subjects to select from.

Looks like a bit of work has gone into that Badger Steve, great work on the seams too. I have PPP, use it sometimes, but still prefer good old Tamiya putty. I clean it up with a Q-Tip dipped in Tamiya Lacquer thinner a few moments after applying it. Same principle as PPP, less sanding. I do use PPP around canopies every time though.
I've had a lot of trouble deciding on a build for this GB, I don't build bombers very often.
Some current thoughts, all in 1/72: Airfix Gloster Javelin, Airfix Blenheim, Hasegawa B-25 or B-26, or maybe B-24. There was a Fairey Battle in there somewhere.
See what I mean, can't decide !
Nice work there Steve.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3
Looking good! I always feel a big sense of accomplishment at this stage. I hope you do as well!
George
Seams filled, canopy on and ready to mask and paint.
Steve
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

At the plate: 1/48 Airfix Bf109 & 1/35 Tamiya Famo
On deck: Who knows!
That He111 is amazing! Especially the canopy. Those can be a beast to do, but that one came out amazingly well. Great job!
Doug
I’m with you on the PPP. I love it for filling wing root gaps! Looks like your making record pace.
Some more work on the Badger. I filled the gaps using Perfet Plastic Putty. I like the ease of cleanup with wet sanding. The tail seam still need some work though. Oops, it looks like I forgot the side of the engine nacelles.
Updated. The front page is looking good with a nice variety there already.
Bish Great job there Chad, she came out really nice. I'll get the front page updated.

Thank you my friend!
modelcrazy That looks FANTASTIC Chad, I can't wait to see it in person! I would have never known about the leading edge panel lines, but like George said, it shouldn't be hard to fix if it bothers you.

Thank you! It’s definitely coming with me.
Coming on nicely Steve.
That is a very good looking HE 111 you got there, I ike the change from the standard splinter camo, great job thanx for taking part.
Theuns
Worked a little on the Badger today and attached the nose and tail to the mid section. The seams all fair but the tail section seam does need some work.
Thanks George! I just might do that at some point.
Very nice Chad! The paint looks fantastic And the details are sharp! I‘ll bet if you step away from it for a day or two you could go back and fix those panel lines if it bugs you at all. I am sure you have the skill to get it done if you wanted to.
Hello friends. I'm calling this one done! So, after looking through the pics, I discovered that I neglected to re-scribe the leading edge panel lines on the wings! But I’m happy overall. The host can choose which pic to use for the front page. Thank you Theuns and Bish for hosting!
Thanks Chad! I think I might be heading this one toward a worn combat look.
Excellent use of washes and grime!
So, the cockpit is all weathered and ready to be closed up and mostly hidden from the world
Thanks Bish! I am determined to make it work regardless so I will keep my fingers crossed it turns out!
Bish That looks good Chad.
That looks good Chad.
Thank you friend!
jack, good job for sticking with it, its coming on nicely. Just chalk the holes up as a lesson learned.
PA, greatstart on the Stuka. Cockpit detail looks great. The Italeri 1/72nd Ju 87 is meant to be the worst Stuka around in that scale, hopefully yours will be at the other end of the Italeri scale of quality.
