I dug into the stash today and have decided on my subject.  The AFV Club Wiesel 1 TOW:

There's a scheme for an interesting UN/German unit scheme, think I'll be going with that.

Looks awesome Archangel, I waiting for someone to kick this off. I still haven't ordered my Leopard II yet, I want to get some more done on my Abrams for the Modern Armour GB first.

Love that tank commander. I've heard tanks got really hot inside, guess that's why she's not wearing any pants? Not that I'm complaining... Heart

She's a lot cuter than than German tank commander in Kelly's Heroes.

P.S. She looks a little like Manny's fifth wife, or so I've heard...

Well lets see if I can finish this before the end of the year?

I needed a 1/32 German tank for the same scale figure I purchased the other month and I got a pretty good deal on the tank from Hobby Lobby.

The tank commander... doesn't look anything like Brad Pitt. Not sure if someone had used this pic as a previous GB badge in the past.

Rubber tracks, won't be fiddling with separate links here. Save that for the King Tiger.

Gave the parts a bath in warm soapy water and now drying out.

Being a newer release I don't believe the decals will be a problem.

Got the figure cleaned up and primed. She only has 3 pieces, the other few parts were the tank cupola, hatch and binoculars

Now to start putting it all together.

Start point on the Pzkw. 1-B (some initial painting and minor construction had been done before it became a shelf queen for the past 20 years):

I'm in for this, still deciding on the kit. So many in the stash, so little time.

I didn't know either until i saw it, i think it was a Meng kit. It was a beast of a box, almost £90.

It looks huge. The 1/144 is as big as two 1/35 panzer's on it's own. HLJ has it for $85+ shipping... I just might have to grab it once I see how I'm sitting after the Christmas season.

I have seen the 144 kit built up and your not wrong.

A Ratte would be an interesting build, is it in 1/35?

Quick question- which GB badge would be appropriate for the Ratte? WWII or General?

I wish! No, it's the Takom 1/144 with the two Maus'. As long as it fits your rules, that'll be my entry.

Is that the 144 or 72nd kit. I went into our LHS the otehr day and saw the 72nd kit, didn't even know one had been released.

1/144. I didn't know they made a 1/72- that would be a BEAST of a kit! I'll have to keep my eye out for it.

How do you feel about paper panzers? I don't have many tanks in the stash, but I do have a P.1000 I wouldn't mind taking a stab at if it's accepted.

Think I will start with the Mongram PzkwIV. I have a 1/32 crew commander in mind for this kit.

If I don't get sidetracked, I wll attempt to complete the Tamiya 1/16th Leopard A4. It's one of the oldest kits in my stash going back to when I picked it up around 1988 when stationed at MCAS Futenma

And if I have any time remaiing, I will try and take on the Meng King Tiger and it's Interior Set   Just looking at the interior set looks daunting.

I was planning on revisiting the Tamiya SdKfz 7/1 8-ton halftrack w/ flakvierling on New Year’s Eve (a tradition started by a friend).  The model was one of my earliest Tamiya builds, and I have fond memories of it, even though I just sloshed white paint on the bare plastic to get the winter whitewash effect.

I have secured a fresh kit, and although I wanted to do a nostalgia build, I have succumbed to AMS and have aftermarket tracks, gun barrels, and PE.  I know there are other more modern kits of the subject, but I really wanted to have that “Tamiya feeling” again.

So please put me down for a Tamiya 1/35 SdKfz 7/1.

Okay, I’m in! I’ll likely be doing more than one, but I will start off with the Pzkw. 1-B from Testors/Italeri in 1:35 scale.

SD, I'm definitely down with this GB!  I'll let you know what I'll build as soon as I figure out which kit in the stash I'll target!

Daddyman - Yes a kit that is 25%-30% built is fine. Also, nice work on the Hurricane it came out nicely even with the painting trouble.
