That's very cool ,interesting
Nick.
3 days of decalling the bottom is done
Stickpusher: Those days they built them to last, he he. I hope this nose gear will stay on the ground eventually, with all this weight...
stikpusherA silver F-4F? Interesting...
F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!
U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!
N is for NO SURVIVORS...
- Plankton
LSM
Almost ready for decals
Man Bell sure used a large retaining nut for the nose gear strut... Looking real good Zvezda!
Hey no worries . that kit looks very clean ,I need to get me one of those .
I apologize for the 18 days absence.
Fuselage and wings assembly was completed. Right fuselage half turned out a bit shorter, so things at the nose section were corrected with a little plastic.
Wing root joins were filled, sanded and inspected with some blue marker.
Also exhausts were drilled and hollowed and the nose 37mm cannon barrel was replaced with a needle.
Best regards to all
For this build I decided to use the kit supplied figure and not throw it in the spares box as usual (which is now full of jobless & colorless pilots of various scales and eras).
Acrylics were used and a coat of gloss applied at the end.
So, comrade Mr. pilot also joined the GB. He doesn't look very happy, probably doesn't like my face painting skills, but lets pretend it's battle weariness...
Nick: Looks like the real thing. Such a beauty!
Stik. Many thanks it seemed the right thing to do.
Beautiful finish Nick! And I really like that outdoor “tropical” setting too
LG. stunning paint on the PBY!! well done.
Zvezda. Good start nice!!
TJ. The F4 is taking shape.
Lewbud. Many thanks..
The P-47 is done and thank all of you for your comments.
Cockpit assembled and painted interior green. A minimum amount of wiring was added, just so that it was not totally OOB.
Also IP was painted black and kit decals were applied.
Thanks for the kind words lewbud, I found the glossy finish a bit of a challenge but I am happy with the results.
Nick,
As the others have said, that's a great looking Thunderbolt you've got there.
Lost,
A most excellent job on the Catalina!
Got started on the Phantom.
I opened the Eduard box yesterday. Seems like a very nice kit, with nice detail.
Cockpit assembly was started and the armored glass behind the seat was masked off with masking tape
Nick, Elaine is a real beauty. Excellent painting and finishing.

Nice! That’s going to be quite colorful!
Great work on the Jug there Nick, it is looking very shmick. Nice look with the preshading and the weathering. Can't wait to see it finished.
68, That looks like a cracker of a scheme.
The Catalina is finished in the colours of TAA.
The Academy kit was basic, but a good base for the scheme. The black plastic took a bit of covering over so the Tamiya spray primer came in useful.
The wing markings were on the small side looking at the references. They are smaller in comparison to the other TAA scheme I did on a Fairey Rotodyne - see photos at the end.
Mach 1, thanks for running the the GB, it is a great subject.
Nick, thats a cracking looking P-47 there.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3
Stikpusher. thanks again. I used AK interactive RAF camo set,(AK 2010) its the second time I use it works good airbrushes free hand well. The paint dryies to a semi gloss, I'm slowly changing to acrylics I really like the clean up.
