Super cool John, do you have room for that monster?

Nice haul guys, I love watching everyone getting gifts.

GA, I've never built that kit but always wanted one. I hear it's a great one.

Bobby, Oh man! a Babs! how cool is that.

BK, I've been eyeing a Soviet SP gun.

Mongoose, if you do as well on that Panther as you do on your other builds, it'll look great.

This is what one of my SS's gave me. SWEET! I HAD this on my wishlist, I just removed it!

Thank you SS!

So the kids got done with their gifts and it was time for dad to go back (many years) to his childhood and open the SS gift.  And what was it you ask?

Finemolds 1/48 Ki-15-L "Babs"!!!!!!!!!!

OK...so first, I have never put a Finemolds kit together, second (and I'm not kidding), I was getting ready to start doing WWII Japanese aircraft!!!!!!  I have not done any Japanese aircraft and this was PERFECT!!!!!!!

I'm already researching the colors I'll need, the history behind it....MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Thank you Santa!!!  You rock!

Oh yeah that heavy howitzer looks cool. German Armor that Corsair's a great model :-)

My favorite part of these is building something different! My SS got me Tamiya's Panther PLUS the HobbyBoss Tank Crew!

I haven't built a tank in 5 years. This will be a great addition to my display shelf.

GA, very cool. Those are super nice builds. You will definitely enjoy putting it together.

My SS got me a very cool SU-152 Soviet Heavy Howitzer. This was certainly not one I had on my radar as I've never even heard of it. But, I am super stoked to build it. It's very cool over the top monster typical of Soviet big boy toys. I will be locating up some Soviet tank crewmen to man this thing and I have a small dio in mind. This will be fun. Thanks SS.

I know John. My wife can't wait to see what she wrapped for me. She said I'm going to flip out.

My wife unboxed the package and wrapped it - under the tree.  She is very excited about the model so I'm on pins and needles waiting to open it!

Thanks,

John

All the gifts have been sent, most received. If you haven't received your yet just hang on, there are still 5 delivery days, 6 if from Amazon. There always seems like there is at least on giftee that get his a few days late but they always arrive. This is an especially high trafic year for the carriers.

I like you Bobby, am supper excited when I receive a gift from My SS. The gifts I get from my wife are something I told her I wanted, picked out, bought and reimbursed. When they come in or I bring them home from the local HS she puts it under the tree. Don't get me wrong, I still can't touch it until Christmas morning but there's no surprize. There's usually is one or two non-model gifts that I don't know about but typically, the SS gift is the real surprize.

Yep, even at 68, it's still a bit of a rush, and brings back being a kid again.

Got my gift a couple of days ago.  I was at Disney but I had my mom check for packages every day and she brought it in minutes after they delivered it.

I am so excited....this GB is awesome and I get the feeling of being a kid again Christmas morning!  After the kids open their gifts, I clean up the wrapper carnage and grab my coffee....I sit on the floor like I did when I was a kid and open the gift.  Doesn't matter what genre or scale....it's a plastic model and that feeling I got as a kid opening them Christmas morning is there and it's all good!  LOL!  Sorry, got a little sentimental there.  LOL!
