I got you up John. Sorry, I forgot I had the controls on this one.

Yeah, a little busy. I made the partial move to the Dallas area. I'm staying with my brother, again, and am looking for a house. I put two offers in on two places so we'll see how it goes. Once I close on a house I can get my stuff, which includes my stash and tools, in, set up and back to building. I start my new job on Monday. Don't really know excatly what I'll be doing but now that I'm here, I can always look for something else if I don't like it.

Anyway, great job on that Airbus John. I absolutly love it Yes

In the pattern: Scale Shipyard's 1/48 Balao Class Sub! leaning out the list...NOT! Ha, added to it again - Viper MkVii, 1/32 THUD & F-15J plus a weekend madness build!

Thanks Robert.  It's a really nice kit with exceptional decals both in register and really well behaved.  It is a monster on my desktop and I'm questioning building my Zvezda 1/144 747-8 which is a bit bigger Surprise

Thanks,

John

Wings stripped and mostly repainted.  Meanwhile the endless fuselage decals continues.  I want to finish her this month!

Well done. I would fear those more than stencils on modern fighters. Amazing work.

So far the 2K works over MM Enamels and MCW without issue.

I just got a polyurethane automotive clear based on BKs success but I want to experement with it first.  My typical goto is Future.

The Tamia was TS-13

Thanks,

John

What is it with the clear-coats now?  I've had Testor's, Rust-o-leum and Krylon (supposedly acrylic) clear-coats craze the paint.  I've taken to old Pledge to give a clear-coat to my models.  Anybody recommend a GOOD brand?

Thank goodness it wasn't the fuse. Don't want to mess up those decals.

Oh man, I am sorry to hear that. I am surprised that the Tamiya clear acted like that. Was it the X-22 or another one?

Tamiya clear coat over the Revell paint crazed on the top of the wings and the horizontal stablizers... not sure what happened there but I'm done with Tamiya clear. I think it's too hot.
So out comes the EasyOff and taking a step back :/

Thanks,

John

Thanks all!  This kit has been a joy to build.

Robert if you want to do an airliner (assuming you haven't) start with the little Hasegawa 1/200 scale planes.  Draw decals has great deals on them.

Like this little 737-700

Thanks,

John

Those are looking really good!  I kinda want one now, even though I barely have room lefy for 1/35 tanks anymore.

A bit more progress.  The decals are really nice.  I need to clearcoat the wings and horizontal stablizers, paint their leading edges and then its just decals.   I like the Revell paints.

That does look pretty fantastic.
