Charles,
You have been added. Welcome to the madness!
Buddy- Those who say there are no stupid questions have never worked in customer service.
OK Buddy, the wife picked this one. I'll figure a 48 hour period I can work on it.
Steve
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Happy wife, happy life!
I'll try it again. Don't know what yet, need to look at the stash.
Welcome aboard Steve! I've got you on the list. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I started a new job Tuesday after having not worked in almost eight months.
A new job is great news!
New job?
That is great lewbud!
Super to have some good news at this time.
Caveman, just saw your excuse reason for missing last year...
... I suppose that is fair enough, hope you have bounced back okay
Revved up and ready to start! Got a few kits picked out already.
Doug
Learmech,
Welcome aboard! You're on the list. Simple is the way to go.
Can't say yet what I'll be doing or when I'll be able to eek out 48 uninterrupted hours, but for now count me in.
Also, if you could provide a brief clarification; Let's say I wanted to do a small scale armored subject. Would it be bending the rules to finish the subject in the time frame, and then after do a simple display base, or would that need to be incorporated into the 48 hours as well.

Waggish,
Welcome to the madness! As long as you finish the model in the alotted time, what you do afterwards is up to you.
Hi Lewbud, I'd like to join please. I'll probably do it on the weekdays preceding or after the 26th. This is my subject, the condition of the box tells me that it is time to build it.
Cheers
Tony
I'm just taking it one GB at a time.
Glad you're back Tony! I"ve got you on the list. I look forward to seeing that classic come together.
Ten days to go.........................
starting to twitch......................
I haven't been on here ina while (maybe a year or more?) but I was thinking the other day about this build in particular, and here I am.
I may just have to do my 1/48 Albatros D.III. But that might be too ambitious. My other options include a 1/35 Minerva armored car (though some parts are removed from the sprue, but not glued, if that's OK).
Edited to add: Looks like I have taked one part off the sprue on the Minerva. If I do that one, I'm happy to take a 10-second penalty :)
How did I miss this?
lewbudI started a new job Tuesday after having not worked in almost eight months.
Congratulations - well done! I hope it goes well for you.
Hutch.
Vell, Zaphod's just zis guy, you know?

Fantastic news!
BrandonD,
Got you on the list. Be careful when fondling and sniffing the plastic.
Thanks for the well wishes guys. I made it through the first two weeks of training so I'll be getting my first paycheck in eight months on Friday. It's a good feeling.
Ok, dumb question: If I go with my biplane, and I use a homemade real wood propeller, must I also build the prop as part of the weekend build, or can I treat it as if I bought it as an aftermarket piece and put it on the build, having constructed it beforehand?
Proper Plane makes props, but they don't do 1/48, so I have to make my own.
Maybe I should just build the car... haha.
Brandon,
For this build, you would have to build the prop in the 48 hour time frame.
One week to go!
lewbud One week to go!
Oh, no - I worked in customer service. That's how I know that stupid questions abound.
Almost forgot about this!!!!! Still unsure as to what kit I will build...I am probably going to decide at the very last minute! I also started to panic a little bit, as I am unsure of my schedule, and aside from working on friday, and preparing a cubscout Pack meeting for the following Saturday, I am free and clear! lol

Mortal as I am,I know that I am born for a day. But when I follow at my pleasure the serried multitude of the stars in their circular course, my feet no longer touch the Earth...
Justin,
You've got some time. This build normally peters out after New Years.
Buddy, I'll start on the Elefant on T-giving morning
