Done, thanks for the reminder. I think i missed it because i saw your post when at work and couldn't see the image. I really like what you did with that, especially the camo on the wings and i like those X-4's. Nice looking build. I'm going to have to dig out my NF version soon.

Bish, group builds keep me motivated, the builds you host in particular. The Supermarine and Messerschmitt group builds have me pulling kits out of the closet that have been up there since I came back to the hobby. This is the first German airplane I've build since the '70's!

This is the next build on the bench. It won't look like this when it's done, but this is the kit.

Looks user slick TJ. The glossier the better for the decal application.

Some progress on my Kurfurst, the main gear legs were painted RLM02 and washed to pop details. Wine bottle foil was cut into thin strips and used for the brake line straps.

Prop blades were painted RLM70, then the spinner and back plate were assembled as shown.

First update for my Trump Me 262. This is my first Trump aircraft kit and all the reviews say its a great kit and the detail looks amazing.

I'll be adding Eduard PE, HGW belts, metal barrels from Aber, resin wheels and EagleCal decals.

I have been getting the interiour together ready for priming and painting. These are mainly cockpit parts.

The guns together along with the metal barrels.

The inside of the fuselage with the none coloured PE added.

And some more interior parts along with the gun bat and undercarrage bay parts.

Next up primer and paint.

Again....awesome builds everyone!  Very inspiring stuff!  I hope to be done with mine today.  Seems like this took a bit of time for me, but I've been busy and with a slight hand handicap.  LOL!  But she's looking cool with the bright red paint scheme.  I can see why Major Spate was a bit upset with his new paint job when he saw it.  No element of surprise there!  LOL!

Here is an update pic.  I'm also working on a small base for it, but I still hope to be finished today.  Enjoy.

I like that Bobby, even if its not exactly tactical. At least you won't have to worry about much weathering given how short a time it wore those colours.

Thank you sir....I thought the same thing.  Not much weathering to be done.  I haven't found anything on how long he actually had this scheme, but seeing that he was not happy when he saw it and ordered it to be redone...I'm thinking it was possibly a one mission (if that) type thing.  LOL!

That would make sense.  I'm sure they were waiting with paint in hand when he got back.  LOL!

Alright!  I'm calling it finished.  Overall a nice little kit.  I had issues with the very small PE parts, but that is my lack of practice and experience with PE of any sort.  LOL!  The fit was ok and the overall detail was very nice.  I'm sure someone with more PE experince would find this an easy and fun kit.  As stated before, I got the scheme idea from Bish (thank you sir!).  I think it came out nicely.  As Bish mentioned, not much weathering was done (a light Tamiya Panel Line-Black).  The detail on the figure was ok.  And of course the base is no where near Bish quality, but I think it really adds something to the build.

Bish...thank you so much for the inspiration for the build and for hosting a rocking GB!  This and the Spitfire one have been a lot of fun to do!  Thank you!

So here are the final pics.  Enjoy!

Looks great Bobby. Sure is different from the usual Komet schemes. The red is super glossy smooth, like automotive quality. What paint did you use?Beer

Thank you sir!  It was fun to do for sure.

Actually it is just regular Tamiya Flat Red (XF-7), but I put 4-5 coats of Krylon Colormaster Gloss Crystal Clear on it.  LOL!  I ran out of the Testors clear coat I usually use and grabbed this at Wal-MArt hoping it would work.  I tested it on a couple of old models and it turned out pretty good.

I thought about the Rumanian markings because they are quite unique but the decal sheet is so old, yellowed and curled. Pretty much unusable, Gamera.

Put the decal sheet on a sunny window for several days and the sun will bleach them. You can try the MicrosSol Decal Saver to keep them from fracturing in water .

Nick: That's some good progress on that F-104 buddy.

Frank: That Emil built up nicely!! Doncha hate it when the big bad ol' carpet monster munches up the small parts?? I use the same technique with the ground up pastel on the exhaust stains as well. Great job man!! Lookin' forward to that G build.

Deeve: That Komet looks GREAT!!! Very nicely done brutha!!

Johnny: That Hornet is coming along nicely. Looking forward to the decals on that shiny finish!!

Ernie: Love the landing gear paint up and weathering. Awesome job on that spinner too!! Yes

Martin: What???!!! A 1/32 scale build??!! I don't think I believe what I'm seeing.  After seeing what you do with 1/72 stuff I can't wait to see what your gonna do with this.

Eagle90: Dude!!! That's a serious 163 there!! WOW!!!
