I started the VC-10 tail, wings, fuselage and one engine pod.

Personally, not that much. I work at a prison, so i have not been furloughed. We don't go out that much, used to go for a meal or a movie maybe once a month, so not able to do that. Only used to pop into town every so often, usually to go to the LHS. Main thing is i can't do is go and see my mum. She lives about an hour away and is over 80. And with us working at a prison, i have not been to see her much even when we were not locked down. Not worth the risk. But she has had her 2 jab's now, so thats a relief.

Main impact has been at work. I work in the stores, we have not had as many deliveries as we used to. We also deal with the laundry so have had to take extra precautions when there have been cases.

We have been lucky really.

Harold, I've been thinking about a Spitfire Mk I or Mk II for over a year now to pose with a BoB Bf 109E. Gotta get with the program and get one done. This group build might be the right time. The last Spitfire I built was when the Monogram Mk IX was a new kit. Too long ago to remember. Anyway, progress on the Mk VIII today. Attached the wing. Need to clean up the leading edge and attach the wing tips. This little Spitfire is building faster that I expected.

 

Bish, I know how you feel about Spitfire's but the Spitfire badge you found for the Supermarine Group Build is absolutely first class.

The Eduard Spitfire Mk-II kit has arrived and can hardly wait to get started. The last time I built a Supermarine Spitfire I was a Cub Scout, it was 1955.

Nice, Frank.  Harbor Freight sells borescopes pretty cheap.

Well, the fuselage is buttoned up. All of that detail I worked so hard painting is down in there somewhere. Now to sand and polish the seams, then add the canopy and wings.

Started the Spitfire Mk VIII today. Did the cockpit and getting ready to close up the fuselage. So many tiny pieces!

Very cool! Love the look of the Wellesley. Sorta a steampunk look to me.

Some work done on cockpit on mine. Photos when I get some more work done.

John, not a problem.  As long as it's not from Engine and Things - their 72nd stuff can be a let down.

Jack, I mispoke, it is a Pegasus, and it is coming from CMK, ordered from their store.  I do have a Mercury on the way, I think it is Vector and 1/48, but I think they have it in 1/72 also.

Well, yes, there is more than a little "strange" in my stash, Steve.  It was a design similar in construction to the Wellington and made a notable long distance flight, 7,162 miles non-stop from Ismalia, Egypt, to Darwin, as a 3 ship flight.

Now that's a very strange one John.

Lets's get something underway, here.  Here's some pictures of my Matchbox Wellesly.  I'm waiting for a resin Bristol Mercury to come to put under the townsend ring, what's in the box is just too grim and it will be very visible.  Given the waffles that Matchbox put on the wings there is no doubt this is a Barnes-Wallis design!  Egad!!

Ordered the paint, masks etc for this kit and the Bf-109 last night. Should have done it beforehand but Christmas kinda sneaked up on me and didn't want to order stuff with the mail already overloaded. 

Got to finish off a few things and hopefully I'll be ready to start.

Everything is gathered for the Supermarine Group Build. If everything goes right, the finished model will depict a Mk VIII of the USAAF 31 FG.
