Dang the Falklands sure snuck up on me fast. I'll have to get that Super Etendard. I got a B-17 for the 8th AF, I don't have anything (yet) for the Junkers, Avro or de Haviland, I have a 1/32 190 and of course a Hurrie. The Airfix, pfft, I have lots of em' but the Iraq War??? I might have to come up with something diffrent for me.

Bish
I keep telling myself i will take a break, but then somthing else comes up and i can't help myself.

Yeah right, I hear ya mate.....It's a drug.

Oh, and by the way, I was thinking of a nose art one just last night. Call it painted ladies or something like that. I'll have to come up with a list myself.

Since I did a Boing one I was thinking of several of the other American manufacturers like Lockheed, McDonnell Douglas, Northrop ETC.

Baron-  68GT has had a shelf GB going on for a couple of years now.

Sounds like the Shelf of Doom group build has turned into its own Shelf of Doom.

How about painting a model with brushes only, no airbrush? I've seen some incredible brushwork, mine NOT included!

You and me both. I have GB's planned for 22, 23 and going into 24.

We should get together so I can plan. I suspect some of what your thinking may coincide with what I'm thinking when it comes to manufacturer I.E. Focke Wulf, Lockheed, Hawker ETC.

If Lostagain doesn't end up wanting to do a "Between the Wars" then I'll do it next year.

I I have at least one possable two that might work.

Still planning on ' Between the Wars' starting March 22, add it into the calendar

Had one more idea (actually had two, but now I can only remember the one! dang!)

We all have/had that kit or three that we had to have because of the box art / photo. The kit may be a total Dog but that box said there was something magical inside!

Hence:

The  Vintange Box Top Markings Group Build!  You have to Build the kit as depicted on the box top!. You can use replacement markings for the same subject/scheme if needed. I was thinking of this being specifically for vintage kits.

Sorry if these have been mentioned already!

I'm thinking of running an 80s GB were anything is acceptableness as long as it has 1980s markings and fitments or bodies and modifications (cars, trucks bikes). I'm going to run a feeler but I'm thinking July 1 and giving it a test run for 6 months at least.

I wanna see a Luft 46' group build.

Bit to narrow. Prototypes and Projects covers those and allows a lot more options. GAF is planning an X-Files GB which is along those lines.

And quite a few GB's allow for what if's, what you got in mind.

Has anyone done an "Airshow" group build?  Idea is that your subject be accompanied by an airshow photo of the exact aircraft modeled, be it a demo or static.

Great idea, quick thought would include the various classes of race birds.

Theuns did a demonastration team GB....must be  2015 if memory serves. It's been a while. It was just for demonstration teams, not race planes or private stunt planes though.

I had a couple of ideas for GBs. How about "Are We There Yet?" A GB dedicated to "people movers" or transports. Anything that has moving multiple people as its primary mission. This might be a little broad, but it could be more narrowly defined. I know, it could be argued that a battleship moves people, but an oceanliner would be a better fit. A C-47 but not an AC-47. A railway passenger car but not a boxcar. A  school bus but not a motorcycle. You get the idea...

Or how about "Call of the Wild?" Anything that is officially named after an animal? A Volkswagen Beetle. A Tiger tank. A F-15 Eagle. A Suzuki Hayabusa. There are a million of 'em!

Just throwing those out there...

-It's Omar, but they call me "O".

68GT-I've got a couple of vehicles that would fit-I'm in if it is a 'Go'-might I suggest checking interest in the Auto section?

I'm a Luft 46 fan myself. I have built the first of those and have the last 2 in my stash, planing on the Flitzer for GAF's GB. But there are quite a few who are not fans of those German what ifs but will build other prototypes. And as GAF is planning on allowing armour as wel, should be a good GB.

68GT: I like that too! I said I was going to avoid getting into a pile of GBs this year but I loved the '80s!!! Bestest decade ever - I even had hair back then!!!

I'd guess B.A. Baracus' van would work???

The AR555, BV194, ME-p1099 and the FW Flitzer are all good choices for the X-Files group build.  Aircraft, tanks, helicopters, ships are all good, as long as they were prototypes and experimental, or only had a few built (such as the DO-335).  Shooting for June.

I have that kit in the stash too!  The A Team was my favorite show as a kid of the 80s.  I'd dig out my kit of Sonny Crockett's Testarossa or Magnum PI's 308.

Would love to add a paper panzer if there is a GB that includes the what-if armor designs.

Anyone have an interest in a Russian/Soviet, IDF, or modern armor GB?  I have so many of these kits in the stash, and they never seem to come up.

There was both a Modern Armour GB and a Russian Armour GB in 2018.

GAF's X-Files GB would allow a Paper Panzer.

There did seem to be a lost in much interest in pure armour GB's for a while after a number of armour builds left the forums. I stope running any new ones. But we seem to have more armour bulders joining so a pure armour GB might gather more interest now.

Cool! Airwolf was a my favorite TV show growing up. But watching the DVDs now it hasn't aged well. The A-Team and Magnum PI on the other hand is as much fun today as it was back then. Never watched Miami Vice but hope you build the Magnum PI Ferrari!

Problem is I am already doing Hasegawa 72 scale X-29 for that GB. Maybe I'll just do more than one for this particular GB.
