Group Build Theme Ideas

I've  been pitching a Formula 1 group build for next year.  I think a First Responders group build would be cool as well.  I have a police cruiser, fire rig, fire bomber, and CHP helo in the stash.

How many "active" GB's do we have going right now (I count about 14 in the GB section that have been responded to within the last month)? I have Revells newer 190 F-8 in the queue and was thinking of doing another Pride of the Luftwaffe GB like I did a few years ago. I just know it gets tough when there are too many GB's running at one time.

I think about a dozen active GB's is the right amount. I agree it can get awkward when there are to many. Though a couple of those in that 14 list have actualy finished. Quite a few of those current ones will finish by the end of the year. I have 2 new ones planned for next year (8th Air Force and Junkers) and there a few nice ideas here for new ones.

Thought to resurect this thread befor I forget...Was a patriotic GB ever done? Build what you want but it has to be painted or somehow marked as patriotis. Airplane painted in stars and stripes...you got the idea.

I was thinking about a fixed landing gear group build.  I'll propose it after I get in my new house and have my shop set up.  Think Stuka, Nate,  Lysander, .... would include float planes.  If they don't retract they're in the act

Pretty soon there will be more Group Builds than builders. 

LOL, group builds are a big reason I am in the hobby.
