Great build Ziggy-especially the engine and engine bay.  Very well done!

bobbaily, I put 600 x 400 when adding photos, that works for me.

Two weeks in and still not finished, however, getting closer to the fastested build EVER for me!

Here's the update...

Hey Bob: what a jalopy!

Pick an image that you want in completed builds and post a smaller size file.

Congrats to finish and I'll post it up.

Everyone: 48 hrs, whenever is convenient for you.

I'm (ahem) in-between jobs so I'm going to build something this week.

Hey all-made it...by the skin of my teeth.  Not my best work but I'll take it....

Here's where I was this morning:

Finished @ 2:27pm CST today:

Didn't notice that the bed was askew-will fix that later. Figure quality control was not all that great in 1925...

Cowl alignment is not good-will take some work to get it sorted out.

Less cowl and top:

Probably my favorite pic

May try to complete another build before the end of the year.

Bill, again, thank you for keeping this GB running-it's a great tradition that I look forward to.

Ziggy-thanks for the info.  I have a pen that I'll have to try on my next auto build (that has chrome....)

I got started on my build at 3pm CST today-AMT 1925 Model T-not a lot of parts, some flash and questionable AMT instructions but gonna give it a go.

Since it's gonna be an old work truck, I primed with Krylon grey primer rather than Tamiya-save that for other projects.

Not sure if I'll airbrush any black tonight-although the Krylon is '15 minute dry time', I'm thinking that I can wait until tomorrow.  I'll probably use Vallejo Air so the dry times should be quick...going to try to do some weathering but I'll see where I am tomorrow.

Thanks for the extention, it is great fun working on this kit, I will try to wrap very soon!

Bob, I used Luiquid Chrome paint pen, it works really well and looks great

dwsrazor-the Vampire looks great-very impressive, especially given the size and time window.  I've haven't done a ship since grade school, much less try one for a Weekend Madness GB.

Again, very nice work.

Started at 10pm last night.  It's just after midnight so 26 hours in and I'm in pretty good shape.  Just put a clear coat on it and I'll put decals on in the morning before work and then finish it up in the evening.

Here's where it's at

Doug, your P-40 looks great and Ziggy, you should get extra credit for a great Christmas display.  Hope you Finnish it up for us to enjoy.

Plan to get started here shortly.  Tomorrow is my day off so hope to get it done before I'm back to work on Wednesday.

Hope I can remember how to post pictures

Doug-thanks for the info-will help in picking a start time (and day-I'm finding my Sunday's are filling up with other activities).  Agree on the part count-I've looked at the Hobbyboss kits several times and they look to be a great fit for this GB.

Ziggy-Great work on the 442-looks like you bare metal foiled the window molding-very nice touch.  Understand the unplanned tasks-things need to be done-looking forward to seeing more work in progress pics.

Well I came close but did not finish, yet!

The Boss derailed me by having me hang the Christmas lights and set up the Christmas Village.

Thanks for the compliments. I used MRP  and Tamiya paints for the most part. The key is to build a simple, low parts count kit. This kit has a VERY basic cockpit. Yes, I did apply a gloss coat (Testors gloss) before decals. I used a hair dryer so the paint was dry to the touch and then could move forward with the build. Was a hell of a grind but was fun to push for the dead line.

Doug-your P-40 looks like it took much longer than 48hrs-good job! What brand/types of paint did you use and did you gloss coat before decaling?  I'm trying to put together a 48 hr. timeline for a 1/48 plane and whatever you did worked well.

Ziggy-enjoying watching your 442 come together-a lot of subassemblies to be dealt with. Good idea to tone down the chrome with semi gloss-looks more realistic.

Calling this one finished. Simple kit as far as parts count goes. Fit was OK at best, except for the canopy. Being we only had 2 days to build, I didnt have the time to make sure the canopy was a clean installation. So its a bit rough. Far from my best work but this weekend group build is a grind. Enjoyed it.

I just might pull this off!  First time with my airbrush, so petty far from perfect, but I would normally take a year and not finish, this is just what I needed.

Sprayed with semi-gloss to make it look right.

I hadn't opened the kit until today!  Great deal of detailed parts, may have to get a spare kit for a diorama later.

Off to a great start, at least for me.

Didn't quite get to painting.
