Revell are releasing a brand spanking 1:32 He162 Volksjager shortly (may be out already)

I have already ordered mine although I have a 1:48 Dragon kit in my stash (reboxed Trimaster)

cheers

Yeah Jules, 'V' shaped twin tail, and the BMW 003 engine.

Being a Trimaster kit, I wouldn't do it for a GB, this one would solely be for the love of my hobby.
And the fact the missus thinks I'm psycho for spending 60 bucks on a 15 year old kit!

I'll be super detailing the engine on that puppy when I get round to building it.

Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D]

Plastic 'vibe' kits eh Mike?
Could be a market in those mate!Wink [;)]

Thanks again for the decals Jules, the spit is gonna look sensational me thinks.

As for too may kits, got my Trimaster He162 from eBay yesterday.
No wonder people want these Tri kits, truely awesome detail and white metal, considering they were made in the 80's.
The PE instrument panel actually has the dials and stuff etched into it!!!!!!
As opposed to the film stuff they make now.

Ah well, 8 weeks till the mayhem starts, getting impatient!!!!

so many choices!!

I might have to get the kits out and absorb the vibes each put out. Which one is calling louder than the others??

cheers

Mike go for the Spits mate, I have 3 MK 8s all Aussie machines, or maybe that MacchiQuestion [?]

BTW Sean i'll send you the booklet that came with those shark attack decals along with the Defiant pics, you may find something you like in there......

Hehehe, I was planning on doing another Sabre.
(can see Jules now shaking his head!!)

In reality, I think I'll do a Spit also, and try and find another obscure a/c that the RAAF used, 'cause it wouldn't be right if I didnt challenge my skills for the Aussie GB.

I need therapy.

Matchbox 1:72 Chinook

Howwww-ever, a 1:48 Spitfire selection tempts me, either a Airfix Mk5c or Arii MkVIII?

then again a Esci Mb326 with Hawkeye decals or another airliner???????

Not sure which yet, perhaps someone can convince me (please)

cheers

I dunno yet Darson, , probably go for the ICM spit8 with open gunbays and open engine covers, finished in C R Caldwells colours, If time permits i'll also do the Hase Spit8 finished in the same scheme you did your 2004 Spit in......
That'll save some money cause i already have the kits......
Cheers Jules........Thumbs Up [tup]

The tag is on and it looks great, thanks again Jules. Only 9 and a bit weeks to go till building starts again!

I don't know if this has already been posted, but does anybody have an idea about what they plan on building for next years GB.

At this stage I am going for the CA 1/48 RAAF Meteor F.8.

Cheers

Tag size looks fine Jules, besides, the Aussie GB badge should stand out from the others!!!!

Bandha, I got my Iso from the local paint supplier, cause they use that sort of thing alot.
Was cheaper than the stuff on the web site u posted.

Anyhow i stuck the badge into my sig and it's a little bigger than i thought, i was trying to go the same size as the 2004 TagSigh [sigh] I might try and resize it a little......Jules.......

Thanks Tweety. I had a snoop about & found this: http://www.armsmodelit.com.au/ArmsMisc.htm, which might do, although I'll try Bunnings etc & see if they have Viponds . Have to find out what the story is with the 'de-natured' thing though.

The 2005 build.: I can't stand the thought of hacking off the tailplane fillet on my Eduard Mirage (which is actually the antennae), so I might try for a nice new 127 Hawk, I do like the two-tone brown scheme. Now about those 4 other kits already lined up beforehand ....

This ones for Bandha Boy.

The Isopropynol (?) I use is Viponds brand, and is excellent for cleaning your models, PE, and thinning your paints (acrylics).
But it is a very 'hot' thinner, so it evaporates like nothing else when pumped through an airbrush.
To minimise this, I use the product next to it, Viponds Taut Flex retarder.

Alot of people harp on about 'Why make your own thinner?', but living where I do, it's so dry that tip dry happens almost instantly whule airbrushing.

I mix equal amounts of distilled water and Iso, and add a few drops of retarder depending on the weather for that month.
Works like a charm!!

Note-If ever you get the retarder, dont add too much. I did once, and it took 2 days for the acrylic to become touch dry!!!!!

Well said Darren!

Also as suggested I'll see if I can keep this thread running, just give me time to chase it up. Will post updated info here and the Aussie Modellers Thread.
Wayne I enjoy getting older, especially when I consider the alternative.
