I am soooooo tempted to join in and include my 1/48 scale B-25J "Emergency Strip" as a part of this, but I'm not sure I'm gonna have the time to finish it by the first for two reasons.

1) Cannot start until early November due to numerous temporary living circumstances and travel.
2) Gonna be travelling a lot over the holidays.

I guess I could have summed that up by saying my start date would be too close to the deadline and I'm on an airplane a lot between now and the first.Tongue [:P]

Can I give you a tentative yes?

By the way... is there a bomber group build icon for participants signiatures?

Current and Subsequent Projects:
1/48 scale Tamiya P-47 "Razorback" - Complete
1/48 scale Testors/Lone Star Models PT-22 Recruit - 20% Complete
1/48 scale Monogram C-47 Skytrain - Not Started

Hi all!

If I could I'd like to join this GB, it would be my first ever. The GB seems to be an interesting addition, to this hobby so I had to give it a try. This GB also just happens to fall in line with the next model I was planning on attempting to build. Hopefully this GB will keep the pressure on me to get it done. Smile [:)]

So if possible could I be added to the member list? I will be building Classic Airframe's 1/48 Savoia-Marchetti. Thanks

Your welcome I know just how you feel, when I built my B-17G from Monogram it took me 15 months of work, so it averaged about a hundred to a hundred fifty hours of work so Im glad the time extension is appreciated.

HEY EVERYONE IM BACK, and guess what cool toy I brought back with me......

a digital camera, finally, I cant wait to try it out, and the first place I send any photos will be here or my other GB, Oh also I found out how dedicated of a builder I truly am, I took a Monogram 1/48 P-51D with me and finished it, but I forgot to bring sanding utensals, and an AirbrushBig Smile [:D]. Ah oh well. Note I built it in mostly hotel roomsBig Smile [:D]. But it is one more model almost of the production line and an excuse to buy anotherLaugh [(-D]Whistling [:-^]

Hope everyone has been doing great, It looks like you handled quite nicely without me, seeing as how nothing is trashed, you guys apparently didnt have any partiesBig Smile [:D]

But it shure looks like I have alot of catching up to do. So anyways I had fun on my trip and Ill talk to all of you tomarrow.

See ya

scottc:
thanx 4 the welcome !
u have a good memory... if i ever get my Fort finished, it will b part of a
shadowbox dio w/ a 1/72 Tuskeegee Airmen Red Tail P-51 escort, which i
haven't started yet ... but i plan on doing a lot of building over the summer ! Big Smile [:D]

Akuma:
nice work on the B-2 so far...love those flying wings, i'm doing a Horten 229
4 the Prototypes & Paper planes build, also in 1/72 (my fave scale, because i really like it & also because i wouldn't have room 4 anything else, LOL).

VA:

Slight change.
I got some new decals today & am not thrilled, so my B25C/D will be a Pacific Strafer, not North Africa.

Welcome FrostyBig Smile [:D] It's been kinda quiet around here this week with Vintage gone so there hasn't been much activity and he's the one kinda keeping tabs on us. If I remember right, you are putting this B-17 in a formation with Mustangs in, like, a shadowbox?

Hi all

first ever posting sounds like it could be an interesting idea. I have recently completed a Monogram 1/48 scale B-17 and a Revell 1/48 B-29. My better half is working on the Revell 1/72 B-52at the moment (its only the second kit she has ever built).

Hope to be starting on either a Revell 1/48 B-24 Liberator or and Avro Vulcan soon.
Just wish someone made a 1/48 B-52 Sad [:(]

Apologies for going off topic but went to the Museum at Duxford recently and was most impressed. Only problems I thought were;

Lack of space the USA display could do with a second hanger at least. Obviously the people working there are limited with regard to space but if possible they could do with a few more buildings to display the impressive exhibits..

Another thing was there was so much to see that we couldnt get round the exhibits in time. But thats really my fault for spending too much time drooling over the P47 with its chequer board nose and polished metal along with the B-17, B-52 and my personal favourite the B-29.

Ah well looks like I will have to pop over to Duxford again to see what we missed.

Cheers

I just read where the USAF is going to put all B-52's thru a(nother) modernization program that will allow them to serve until 2050 -- that's about 100 years isn't it ???

So this is my last post untill the 27th and I wanted to say bye to everyone. Oh and sorry for those of you that want me to edit the members list and put stuff down for what you are building and such but I may not have time.

Bossman,

That's not mine, that's just an article that I'm using for inspiration (I guess I should have made that clear). I hope to do as well as that author.
