That is weird that many are going Allied. Sure is for me anyway. I would think that Dragon's King Tiger would be quite popular.

Jwest21-You're in, and you can decide whenever but you have to finish by the end date.

Ok, put me down for a small, one figure vignette, and an Academy M-36 Jackson.

Actually tigerman, I like the Axies-vehicles more than the allied ones, and their camouflage patterns are far more interesting. The only reason I do this Sherman commemorative, is because I can actually see it, takes measurement and pictures Smile [:)]

Dont worry tigerman As you can see Tamiya's king Tiger is also on the list of my choices, but I did think the same thing. The only reason I choose the M-18 is because I already have the kit oh and it is such a cool tank

I am doing allied stuff because, well, I never build it, and I have heard a lot of good stuff about the academy M-36.

Hey, whoa, I'm not condemming Allied tanks. Just seems that German armor rules in the forums (my vote anyway). I too have been waiting for this build, because I have a Hellcat sitting quietly in its box. I was looking for a group build that qualified and this is it.

Yeah, I know but I like to trod off the beaten path more often than not. Besides, I have way too much planned for the Hellcat to be able to finish it in a few months... sooooo....

I'm in fersher with the 'ole Esci Nebelwerfer...

Tigerman- I completely agree German armor rules the forums but it also rules model Companies, For example Tamiya has umpteen kits for the Panther and Tiger but only 3 Shermans.

Black wolf- are you in or still a maybe?

Oh, and thunderbirds are go...

I guess all that means that, yes, I am indeed 'in'... Tongue [:P]

Ok blackwolf I changed the list.

German WW 2 figures also rule that part of modelling, it is so hard to find a US kit without poses that are during a combat situation

Hello,

I would like to join this GB. I would like to do a scene/diorama from Band of Brotheres. I have watched that whole series several times and the Bulge episodes are among my favorites. I will watch again and post a screen shot as to what I plan to build. It will be 1/35 scale. November 1st works great. Let's me finish my Stug Dio and plan for this one.

Thanks,

Ted

Me too, I love it.

For me its time to start doing extra chores and work. I just checked the price on academys m-36, $45.00! might not seem like a lot but I havent spent that much on a model before and not menchion have about 5 bucks in my possession. Sad [:(].
My vignette will be cheaper than the model. Cant wait till nov 1st.

That's great. This will give me something to research when I have had enough of the PE on my Stug III. I will try and post a screen shot in the next few days.

Thanks,

Ted

I know. I remeber in the 90's Nickelodeon had a kid run through a Toys R us and pick out what ever they wanted for a minute. What the damage I could do if FSM did the same thing only in a hobby store. I think the store would go broke. I think it is every modelers dream to run through Greatmodels Warehouse and just run buy the racks with your hand out, lettling all of the kits fall into a huge cart.................Sad [:(] its only a dream.

Bummer.

Man you have no idea, instead of taking kits from shelf I had to put then ON it, I never want to go throu that again, it was hell.
I now know that putting kits ON the shelf is a completely unnatural thing for me Evil [}:)]

With my luck, I would win this magical shopping spree you speak of, and then manage to break every kit I throw in my cart in 1 minute. I would have 30 boxes of broken plastic!

Sign - Welcome [#welcome]Sign - Welcome [#welcome]Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the FSM Forums.

A group build is when a bunch of people get together and build something within set perameters. For example some groups build build a certain vehicle or like this build you can build any vehicle that was used in the Battle of the Bulge campaqign.

Group builds are a great form of motivation and they are a lot of fun.

If you are planning to join this build check the guidelines on the first page of this topic
if your dio qualifies. If not you can always choos something else to build.

hope this helps.

Here are the subjects that I am looking at for this build based on Band Of Brothers. I am also including a couple of the chapel service that was depicted. (for Larry)

Hope this works for my submission. I need a jeep and a bunch of figures.

I hope I can do it justice.

You are AWESOME. That is my favorite episode, #6 with Roe the medic. What’s funny is my daughter and I are the only ones that watch it. (Band Of Brothers) She’s 12. I have 2 boys 16 and 18 that run every time we turn it on. Any way I will be using those pictures. Thanx again. Larry
