That's great. This will give me something to research when I have had enough of the PE on my Stug III. I will try and post a screen shot in the next few days.

Thanks,

Ted

Me too, I love it.

For me its time to start doing extra chores and work. I just checked the price on academys m-36, $45.00! might not seem like a lot but I havent spent that much on a model before and not menchion have about 5 bucks in my possession. Sad [:(].
My vignette will be cheaper than the model. Cant wait till nov 1st.

Hello,

I would like to join this GB. I would like to do a scene/diorama from Band of Brotheres. I have watched that whole series several times and the Bulge episodes are among my favorites. I will watch again and post a screen shot as to what I plan to build. It will be 1/35 scale. November 1st works great. Let's me finish my Stug Dio and plan for this one.

Thanks,

Ted

Ok blackwolf I changed the list.

German WW 2 figures also rule that part of modelling, it is so hard to find a US kit without poses that are during a combat situation

I also agree, German armor does rule.

Tigerman- I completely agree German armor rules the forums but it also rules model Companies, For example Tamiya has umpteen kits for the Panther and Tiger but only 3 Shermans.

Yeah, I know but I like to trod off the beaten path more often than not. Besides, I have way too much planned for the Hellcat to be able to finish it in a few months... sooooo....

I'm in fersher with the 'ole Esci Nebelwerfer...

Hey, whoa, I'm not condemming Allied tanks. Just seems that German armor rules in the forums (my vote anyway). I too have been waiting for this build, because I have a Hellcat sitting quietly in its box. I was looking for a group build that qualified and this is it.

I am doing allied stuff because, well, I never build it, and I have heard a lot of good stuff about the academy M-36.

Dont worry tigerman As you can see Tamiya's king Tiger is also on the list of my choices, but I did think the same thing. The only reason I choose the M-18 is because I already have the kit oh and it is such a cool tank

Actually tigerman, I like the Axies-vehicles more than the allied ones, and their camouflage patterns are far more interesting. The only reason I do this Sherman commemorative, is because I can actually see it, takes measurement and pictures Smile [:)]

Ok, put me down for a small, one figure vignette, and an Academy M-36 Jackson.

Jwest21-You're in, and you can decide whenever but you have to finish by the end date.

That is weird that many are going Allied. Sure is for me anyway. I would think that Dragon's King Tiger would be quite popular.

Well, I have been reading about the group builds, but haven't been in one yet. I would like to join up. When do I need to decide what I am going to build?

Looks like I'm the only one looking to build an Axis representation! I'm planning to do Dragon's 1/35 Panther Late A (boxed as a D-Day commemorative but should still work for the Bulge!) Big Smile [:D]

Steve, just because a couple of us are building the Hellcat, doesn't mean you can't join in. I might possibly do my Greyhound still.

Hmmm... would like to get in on this, but my first choice would be an M18. Seeing as there's two of those already, I'm gonna have to see if there's anything else I've got that would qualify. Maybe a Nebelwerfer...

Thanks Aaron, I think I'll drive up there next month and take some detailed pictures, just to have enough material.
I know where to find another Sherman a bit closer, but I'm not shure if it's the same type.
Oh, and a few miles away there is even another one, but that one doesn't even look like a tank anymore, it's all cut to pieces and made into a monument, I'll post a picture of that one someday, could be interesting for somebody who screwed-up a kit Smile [:)]

Anyway, as soon as get a Sherman-kit I'll tell you guys about it, one more thing, I know that there are a lot of M4's out there, could somebody tell me exactly what make this one is on the picture ??? Thanks a lot.

Not positive but I believe it is an M4A3 with a 75mm gun.

I think I'd like to get in on this too, but I'll have to do some thinking about what to build.

Woo hoo... .the 1/24th scale Hasegawa jeep arrived today! I think I'm going have to order up the PE set for it, but for now it's unopened and on the shelf so I can concentrate on the the Budget GB and Mustang Ranch GB.

Anyone know of a set of chained tires in 1/24th scale for a WWII Willy's Jeep?

Well, in that case count me in for it...Smile [:)]

I may drive up to Bastogne (Bastenaken in Flemish) to take some more pics before I start building, but since only start by Nov 1st I've still got time to do so (it's still about 200 miles away)

Hey ewc2003, are you still in for our UH60 groupbuild as well ? Voting about the GB-icon be held by end of August, and your first design is still in the running Big Smile [:D]

Anyway, as soon as get a Sherman-kit I'll tell you guys about it, one more thing, I know that there are a lot of M4's out there, could somebody tell me exactly what make this one is on the picture ??? Thanks a lot.

Oh, yeah, forgot about the horn... thanks! Squadron's Armored Cars In Action has some good shots of Patton in his car, so I'm gonna give it a shot.
