Hiya fellas, I was looking for something to do until work so I figured I would make a list of who's in:
armorman
reggiethedorf
ipms33206
03Cobra
fighterguru
tho9900
Homagerman
DanCooper
bstrump
saltydog
A68TransAm-Mustang
fiasco
The list looks good and I can't wait to start. I have been working on the patch and I hope to really have it finished and up soon. How do I upload it to here? I keep meaning to get an account with Photobucket but you can only get in after 10pm. Sad to say I am already counting sheep then. How do people get photos posted here? How did you do it reggiethedorf? I guess I should put a little more time on the Hornet before I head off.. later.

I qualify for the Old Guns GB. I am 36 and will be 37 in January. I have a question; since when is 30+ old???? Oh well. I guess I am old enough to know better but young enough to still try to do it! I have the Italeri UH-1D in 1/72 on the desk along with an old Monogram A-4E with full color decals for the USS Oriskany.

I have been a member of IPMS USA for many years. I was a member of the Seattle chapter before I moved to Bozeman. There is no group here. The only modeling group in Montana is in Great Falls which is 2.5 hours north of me. I am a writer for the IPMS USA web site and bi-monthly magazine. I test new products and kits and write reviews on them. There are quite a few modelers here in the area which is made apparent when the local Hobbytown USA has their bi-annual model contest. If you do have a local chapter, I highly recommend that you join and meet with them. You will learn so much from the group it is unbelieveable! Or at least join the National chapter that way you will get the magazine. Check out the web site at http://www.ipmsusa.org

Mark, what does your membership to IPMS entail? Do you meet with other locals on a regular basis? I've been wanting to join for a while but never did. I think my LHS guy is a member but I'll have to ask him on Friday when I get some airbrush supplies.

Glad Ivan didn't do any more damage than it did. I have a freind in Ohio and he has massive flooding there. You will love that F-14 book. I have many of their titles and they are all superb!!!! We actually had some snow on Monday. Very early for that.

Hey fellas... finally have power back after the remnants of Ivan slammed us with more flooding. 03Cobra that is great that you'll get to fly the Cat before it's retired. Hey Mark, hope all is well in Montana and thanks for the link. Now that the electricity is back on after 3 days without I can order that book. I'm going to try and get back into the Super Hornet so I can complete it for the Nav Av GB. Later fellas!

Hey 03Cobra, I assume you will be transitioning to the Super Hornet by 2006? It is a shame that they keep boosting the retirement of the F-14! It was 2008, now 2006! Some carriers will be deploying without the F-14 in the next year or so.

The Academy kits are not bad. And the price is a bit more tollerable. The Tamya 1/32 kits are great, may even be worth the high price. Revell had their 1/32 Cat and it was not half bad. Some fit issues but not horrible. It is out of production but you can get them on EBay and sometimes some stores may have some old stock.

yeah, the guy at the LHS will prolly give me the academy cat for about 30+ sgd, so im paying roughly half, as compared to the HAS cat. i could get my P-38 with the savings. looks like academy is going to make some money off me in the coming weeks......... assuming i manage my allowance properly..........

hey reg- the academy kit is nice. A pal of mine has done several and they appeared to be easy to convert (if you wanna) to D's. He never complained (but he's REALLY good) and he doesn't buy the Hasegawa's. I think that is probably good advice. I am waiting on the Hasegawa kit, but maybe I should have saved 15 bucks and bought the Academy kit. What I would really like is the Tamiya 1/32, but it's running 132 bucks on some sites!
