I can live with that, gives me a lot more time to get my gloss and flat coats just right.
I might do one of my other kits as well once the RAH-66 is complete.

Cool, good to hear.... I'm just swamped. I could finish the KW, but I'd do it at the expense of the two 25 page papers I have to write before the end of the semester. So, hopefully, I'll get to finish both the KW and another Apache before we're done here!

Hey guys!

End of the year sounds good to me. I thought of building only my Little Bird for this GB, but now with all the time on my hands, I might as well build something else too!

Cheers!

Excellent, due to injuries I've not been able to finish my Comanche. Have only got the undercarriadge to paint and assemble and the rotor to attach and paint and then it's done.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Started work on the cockpit, I'll post some pics when it's done. As for the build pic, can I create my own or does a certain someone have to do it?

You can make your own badge if you like. Just make sure the badge follows the new guidelines here posted by the admin guys. They don't take deviation lightly (show him your scars Jon!) Laugh [(-D]

Welcome aboard. Great to see another Comanche kit.

Hey guys!

Fresh from the spraybooth!

I made the decals myself and printed on Micromark clear decal paper, excellent product!! I then sealed them with a coat of Humbrol clear satin. Admittedly, the model looks a bit light in colour, might be the lighting.

Hope y'all like it!

Cheers
Quintin

Thanks, Trigger!

Here are a few more! I've sealed the decals with Humbrol Clear Satin and applied a light drybrushing to the edges.

Better quality photo's will follow soon . . .

Cheers!

She's lookin really good Quint, keep it up! I've gotta finish my Kiowa before I start on my AH-6, but after seeing the ones on here, I'm really tempted to start it!

Ok, so I couldn't wait. I've just ripped out the control panels and seats on my OH-6 and have started making it an MH-6. It has a new control panel and is now all black. I'm scratchbuilding the tail feathers and adding tidbits as I go. Now, the question is, to FLIR or not to FLIR....

I can't believe I'm doing this.

Ok, my Kiowa is almost done. Its up on it's skids and needs a coat of Helo Drab. Not much else new to report there. It'll be getting paint hopefully this week.

The AH-64A is done other than a coat of dullcote.
The AH-64D still needs some work, but it is ready for priming and will be sprayed as soon as I mask the canopy.

And now, I've started ANOTHER conversion.... I couldn't just be satisfied with an AH-6J.... noooooo.... mscottholt had to post pics of a brand new AH-6M on the helo forum. Pics with 19-shot rocket pods, GAU-19 .50cal rotary guns and all sorts of other goodies. Six bladed main and 4 bladed tail rotors... extended tail feathers... the works... So, here I am... CRTs on the control panel are done, cambered vertical is done and I've repositioned the tail light. I've got the main rotor laid out, just need a central hub for it now and that should be done quickly.

Now to find a 35th scale .50 cal ammo chute!

Hey all!

I need your honest opinions, please.

I applied a light coat of MIG pigment to simluate dust on my Little Bird, to make it look as it's operating somewhere in the Middle-East. Does it look OK, should I add more or should I just remove it?

Thanks in advance!

Been a bit busy modelling to post, but I thought I better put up a few work in progress shots to prove I was actually making it! Picture quality on the next pictures will be better, honest, just did these in a rush one night. Model was made, and primed for painting. Nearly finished the painting now, just gotta do underside bays and detailing, and weapons etc.

I did a build image too, and trying to figure out how to put it in the sig, so here it is for now:

Greetings everyone

Looking good Richie.

Thought I would post some progress pics. The decals have all been stuck on and received a gloss coat. Next step is a black panel line wash although there aren't that many panel lines.
