Stuka: I have just reread your last message and realized that you have a 1/32, not a 1/72 Academy Sopwith Camel, which is what I have built.

Will post the pictures soon anyway.

Cool thanks Kaz!
Just finished the camo on my Tyhpoon and it looks good except for a little overspray which I need to redo so when I do that I'll post some shots (hopefully better than last time) to show you all how it looks!

Hi ,

Well here it is my finished offering for this build. A Mustang Mk 1 of 414 Squadron RCAF.
Model is based on time frame of April/ May1943 when the Squadron was in the Army Co-Operation Role, hence no squadron codes. The kit was the Special Hobby offering, not a bad kit, fairly easy build but quite a lot of cleaning up to do from injection flash. Also difficult to fit the fuselage halfs together after installation of Cockpit but a bit of juggling around and in it went.

Hope you like the pics,

Harrowbeer:
Excellent !!! What a great looking plane. I've just drooled all over my keyboard!
I am curious if you paint your camo scheme by hand, or are there things you can apply to make the camo patterns right? Also what is 'Special Hobby offering' ? Is this a manufacturer?
Hey, off topic, are there any pics of your Walrus (Shagbat) around somewhere?
I'd love to see them. I have some more pics of my Walrus (I have filled some gaps and done another round of touch-ups) at my boyfriends website.
http://www.users.bigpond.com/kazadz (Images Page - BiPlanes)

Stuka: Are you doing the paint scheme for the Typhoon that badge is?
If so, what a great bit of luck!
I am glad to be of some assistance to someone.
I'm looking very forward to seeing this model, I must say.

FrostyGirl: How is things sweet? Interested in a GB for WWI Biplanes? Should we see about some more interest? I would love to see some more WWI Biplanes built in the group builds. I would really love to see others builds of the same models I have built to date. There are so many paint schemes for the German biplanes, and so many planes that can be built that can be linked to their pilots. Thats a lot of fun. I like telling my curious visitors that my planes belong to someone.

Look after yourselfs.

Yeah Kaz, I like doing that too. For example, my build for this GB, the F/A-18A Hornet was flown by Wing Commander B.J.S. Mouatt of 3 Sqn. RAAF Base Williamtown in November 1987. I was about 11 months old at the time!!!! Big Smile [:D]
Of course, sometimes generic a/cs are good, because you can 'make up' the history behind them. Tongue [:P]

John

Harrowbeer, excellent work on the Mustang. I have a Mustang B in the wings and you've motivated me to get started.

Keep up the great work everyone!

Kaz,

Special Hobby is a Czech manufacturer. Stable mates of MPM.

All my Camo schemes are by hand as I prefer them that way. Lots of pics of my 'Shagboat' on the 'It floats it Flies' group build site, but here are a couple to be going on with.

Hope you like them.

Your 'Shagboat looks good, nice work.

A short Progress Update::

First coat of pain went on my F-16D yersterday, but i think that the bottom color is to dark - will have to re shoot that.Sad [:(] I think that I'll be adding the F-14B and perhaps the F/A-18E or F to the build, not sure which super hornet yet though.

I'll try to post some pics soon!

looks great, so... Big Smile [:D])

get my project finished before the deadline this time !'

C'mon stuka!! Surely it doesn't take 4 days to recharge your camera!! Tongue [:P]
As for me, I'm STILL trying to find time to finish off the Hornet. Need a bit of motivation too, because I'm staring at the decal chart at about a hundred decals that go on the bottom of the a/c. Plus assignments and stuff for uni are gobbling up my time.
stuka, maybe your pics will motivate me!! Big Smile [:D]

John

Another update - Still havent corrected the painting mistake on my F-16D. I have the correct paint but havent found the bench time lately. I will be adding some Hasegawa smart bombs to go with the lantirn and lightning pods that are slung below the intake.

Hopefully I'll get to start on either my F/A-18 E or F or the F-14B that I'm making into a Bombcat!!!

I'll attempt to take some pics soon and post them.

Take care all.
Cool [8D]

Frosty - great looking Fokker!!!! Keep it up!

Hows this for an attack load out - F-16D night falcon - 4 AIM-9N/M Sparrows, 4 GBU-12 ( 500 lb LGB ), 2 x 1000 lb LGB and a centerline fuel tank!!! Plus the falcon has the two targeting pods on either side of the intakes!!!!

Now if I could only get the paint colors right all would be right with the world!!!!

ps - not 100% on the designations of the Laser Guided bombs, but the kit that they are comming from is one of the Hase weapons kits

Frosty: great looking Fokker you got there! Well done!
Matt: sounds good, can't wait to see some pics!
Update: my Hornet is near complete. I'm just wading through the decals for the underside of the aircraft. Then weathering, then done!

John

John that is awesome! Great photo too!

Did you throw it into the air and then snap the pic?Clown [:o)]Big Smile [:D]

Seriously though, I love the look of that model; you really did well. I need to resist opening my kit and starting it; I have too many that are not done already!
