Er...I think I'm just a tad late for this GB!  I'm still settling down into the new place.  Last night did the first work on the Tiran 5 since last April (painted the tyres).  At least at this rate I'll be in time for the IDF GB 2010, or so...

I know there are many spots where I used to much glue. Other than that...

Yes that's always puzzled me... spending$$$ on interior resin sets then closing all hatches except maybe one and putting a figure in it. I went into this thinking if it wasn't good enough I wouldn't have to show it and it wasn't good enough. Oh well it wasnt an expensive kit that I bought for the interior so I m ok with it.Pics to be shown soon.

thanks folks, considering some of the other excellent work in this GB, that's quite a compliment! even more so because of my recent models, I probably knocked this one out the quickest - helped by the kit's ease of construction.

There are a few bits I know I could have done better, but that's the risk of hanging around FSM - a very high standard is set in the mag and by forum members!  I was particularly pleased with how neatly I painted the road wheels, I normally make a right mess of these, even in 1/35!

Look forward to seeing the rest of the builds check in, thanks for letting me join in late!

ygmodeler4, shame you have to cover it up after all that work - write it off to experience: It's amazing how many modelers complete interior detailing with the aim of covering it up!

Yes that is a very very very (very very very) well done model.

Progress on mine is I probably will only open the commanders hatch or maybe no at all since the interior that I repainted white looks like crap so it's probably going to be closed up. I have the back hatch.

osher, sorry to be late in replying - yes, it's a great little kit: as Duke said, very little tidying up needed.  I've heard similar about the newer 1/72 Revell kits, I'll definitely consider them in future trips to the hobby shop. They certainly beat a lot of the older Zvezda-based 1/35 kits I've been building in recent years!

And I've finished!

I'm just building for fun, so I don't get too fussy about authentic detailing, etc.  Also the antenna are left off, because I tire of fixing them every two weeks. I really need to buy a display cabinet! ;)

Hi folks, mind if I hop into this GB belatedly?  I've just picked my Revell 1:72 Merkava III after around three years of it sitting in a drawer with just a lower hull and road wheels assembled.

In recent days I broke out the sprue cutter and paints and got busy again!

Here it is with a fresh base coat, and a touch of shading and highlighting.  Details, decals, and dust to follow!

 

Nicely done tanker. I absolutely love the weathering.

As for me. I haven't done anything except paint over the mud with white.

Here is my latest creation! It is Legend's Merkava IV. After two months of construction, and one week of painting, it's finished! I went for a recent pic that I saw on Yahoo news of a Merk IV that was patrolling the Lebanese border, even the decals match the tank! Painted with Model Master mixtures and weathered with Bragdon pigments, here she is...
