Wow great progress guys. Sorry guys but I didnt really do anything worth posting pictures about. Ive been busy with school lacrosse jazz band all those little things. But Im making an effort to get this thing done.

I have painted my F-16A in Israeli camo and need to do some more touch-up and then I can cover it in Future, highlight the panel lines, paint the weapons and landing gear and get this thing ready.

I am working on the Tamiya 1/48 F-15C. I have never had so much putty and sanding work on a tamiya plane as I have had on this one! Sad [:(] Almost as much as you do on a Revell/Monogram plane! Shock [:O] That, and I was hampered by the fact that NO insutructions or decals came with the kit; as I got the kit off of eBay. But, for only $15 after shipping, I am not complaining. Smile [:)] Hope to start painting the plane this evening..... Just finished the first painting of the missles.

Sorry to butt into the GB, but saw someone who had a problem I recently had...

Ernie - if you go to Wal Mart or a beauty supply place they have these nail sticks with three grades of grit (three separate sticks).. one's called a shaping stick, it's about 2500ish grit by my reckoning... the second one is a Condition stick - probably about 3000 - 3500grit. the final one is called "shine" and it's well over 5000 I am sure.. when I messed up the canopy on my P-47 recently, I started with 2000 grit paper, and went through all three sticks... by time I was finished the canopy looked like it had oils on it as it had a shine with the rainbow effect.. after a dip in future it looked just as good as when I pulled it from the box if not better!

I wish I had seen this GB earlier. I spent about 3 months in Israel (combined) while deployed with 2nd MarDiv and have nothing but fine things to say about their fighting forces there.. in fact we did an operation in tandem with them right before Desert Storm that garnered quite a bit of respect for them from me...

Well, speaking for myself, I managed to get most all of my Israeli Tiran 6 built. I just need to put on the tracks. She's already basecoated in an Israeli Sand color and just needs to be finished with the tracks, then clearcoated, washed, dullcoated, and drybrushed. I wish I could show pics, but my camera was lost by DHL when my friend tried to send it back to me. Until I can afford another camera, there'll be no more pics from me unless I pull them off my IPMS website when my models are shot at the meetings and the pics are posted there.

Tho, that sounds great! What a learning experience that must have been! I'm glad to hear that you got to go through that!

Sorry guys, I doubt I'm going to finish before the end of the GB. For the past fortnight, all I've done is pack, pack, and, er, pack. I move home tomorrow (the 9th May), so a wee bit occupied. Still, nice to see others doing well!

I wouldn't mind having an extension as well. I am almost finished with my latest project for this Group Build.

Here is my Israeli Tiran 6. It is a 1/72 scale ACE kit that I have finally gotten basecoated. All it needs now is some detail painting, clearcoat and decals before I weather it.

is it too late to get into this? hahah tomorrow's the last day but I have been away for some time! :( I am working on four Merkavas right now, a Merkava III Baz Dor Dalet (academy kit with AEF Designs conversion set), a Merkava II Batash(Academy kit with AEF Designs resin conversion set), Merkava II with mine roller (legend turret to correct the unsightly blemishes that academy provides as a turret) and Tamyia's Merkava I. I hope it's not too late, maybe you can extend the GB as I'm seeing some people have been kinda busy anyway? I'll enter my Merkava I by Tamyia (OOB) and my Merkava III Baz Dor Dalet.

A..L..M..O..S..T..there! Got slowed down by Mother's Day and my birthday this past weekend. Happy B-Day [bday]

The F-15C has come out pretty good. I had some trouble with the small details since the kit didn't have instructions. The cutting Edge decals for the IDF F-15 were of great quality. I have remaining to do about half of the data stencils, finish the "office", and finish some of the missles. Hope to be able to post photos by the end of the week.

It is finished! Big Smile [:D] But in my hurry to get it done, I didn't get all of the data stencils on. That, and my photos were rushed (the white glue for the winsheild is still not dry in the photos) Sad [:(]

I modeled "Commando" of 106 Squadron, based @ Tel Nov, Israel. This plane has 6 Syrian MiG kills to it's credit.

Mph, excellent job! That is a fine looking aircraft, and well worthy of the Group Build badge. This is one to be proud of.

One suggestion: If you'd like "Commando" to be carrying warshots, paint your Sidewinders all white. Blue shafted 'winders are practice dummies.
Still, you did en excellent job of painting those missiles too. Congrats on completing this Group Build!

Here's a couple of pics from the first of my Five Merkavas that I'm building. I am working on the Merkava I (Tamiya) Merkava II with MRCS (academy/Legend), Merkava II Batash (Academy/AEF Designs) Merkava III Baz Dor Dalet (Academy/AEF Designs) and Legend Productions Merkava IV. I am also working on a Magach 6 Batash. Yup addicted to IDF stuff am I LOL.. here's a couple of quick snaps of my Merk with it's paint/wash on it. I still need to finish painting the tracks and wheels and slap on the side skirts and dirty it up ALOT. Hope you like what I have so far!

Well Ive actually started. and am taking a break right now. Just a question. I dont need to do the interior if I close all the hatches do I? Im going to try to do it but if it ticks me off to much I mught well you get the picture.....

So hopefully I get along far enough tonight so I can get some pics up tomorrow but I might not. I start Basketball camp tomorrow. wohoo. no im not being sarcastic.

Well here are some progress pics finally. lol

I tried giving it a wash and dirtied it up some after I put a Flat coat on. I think I overdid it so Im going to wash it with water to take it off. I don't think I added enough water. But anyways here are the pics.
