                        Well i'm not all that concered about underwing weapons but Bartells Red 13 did carry the underwing cannons so for the sake of accuracy i'd say yeah open up the holes, not sure whether you should glue them on yet Darren, are the cannon barrels a seperate item from the fairingQuestion [?]

                        OK all I have painted the wheel wells in preparation for closing up the wings and I have a question. The kit comes with the option of under wing cannons and rocket launchers but I need to open up a couple of small holes in the wings to fit them. What's the verdict, external weapons in or out?

                        Yeah Tweets I'd do the same, i did a little research and it appears that he flew 2 G-6's both Canonboots while based at Kalamaki both were red 13 and they looked pretty much the same except one had the little red squiggle aft of the cross and the other had 2 horizontal red bars, i did come across one of those annoying things the red 13 in Dave's last post, i found one the same as whats on the Eaglecal sheet and the same A/C profiled with the underside of the engine cowl yellow which i thought was strange because the theatre markings for the Med where white...........

                        Tom you could also mask and paint the white rudder and tackle the spinner spiral as well as the undercarriage........

                        Hmmm i wonder whether or not FSM would be interested in putting this build in the magazine, seein as it's never been done before and it's definatly an interesting story....

                        Daniel - I think the wheel wells will already be painted as they go in before the wing halves are closed (I think someone mentioned that). No biggie to me though, I am happy just being able to participate in the build. Everyone remember to take pics as your stage hits... and anything you could take a pic by with the kit showing where it is at is great too... if we decide to try for guiness (provided there is no exhorbitant fee) we'll need proof it went from place to place... maybe saving the postage stamp of where it came from before yours would help, just drop it in the box for the next guy to add to. I think we spoke of sending the completed on back to Jules since it was his kit so he could submit it... along with all the postage markers..

                        Sean - hmmm 12 or so days masked... unknown amount of heat or weather conditions... nawww... you go ahead and unmask it first buddy! Wink [;)] I don't wanna be blamed for the 2mm of residue left on the cleart parts... (or have to attempt to clean it off haha)

                        Tom - You can give the model a coat of future between the camo painting and the decals if you're looking for something to do. And you can paint and detail the wheel wells and landing gear.

                        yeah on the list it comes to me for the canopy and undercarraige... although I guess if Tweets wanted to do the canopy at the same time as the camo that would be ok... being it should be part of the camo scheme over it and all, either way is fine with me... From me it goes to Dave for decals and from there to Karl for final wash and dull and stuff...

                        As for the camo scheme, I'm still in two minds as too which one I'll do.
                        Was going to wait till it was on it's way to me then decide, that way I'll have less time to change my mind again!!!

                        Good to hear it got there safely Darren. There should be a set of shoulder harnesses in the box for the seat. They are wrapped up in a small piece of cardboard with tamiya tape. I didn't put them on yet because the fuselage really needs to be closed up first.

                        I think you were just going to do the fuselage and wing assembly. And probably some of the filling and sanding until you got sick of it. RLM 02 would be the correct colour for the wheel wells if you want to paint them. Just do whatever assembly you want. Jules is next in the list.

                        Daniel, sorry for the lack of updates but my modeling time has been a bit restricted over the last couple of weeks and I've just started to fire things up again. Everything arrived safely btw it was packed very nicely.

                        I have a couple of questions for you.
                        Did the pilots seat have a set of shoulder harnesses, because it doesn't now?
                        How much do you want me to do, just the fuselage and wing assembly (sanding and filling)?
                        If it's the wings as well as fuselage what is the correct color for the wheel wells RLM 02 (I'll have to paint them before I put the wings together)?
                        Who's the next in the list?

                        I haven't made any progress on the kit since I got it apart from doing a bit of a test fit and It actually doesn't look that bad.

                        One thing I have to mention is the fantastic job Daniel did on the pit, it looks great.
