arki30 I know the feeling hang in there. Thanks double d for the kind words it means alot to me. clean up that clutter and you will have a happy place to build. I know it is easy to let it go, I myself take one day just to clean up and put stuff away.

Sssssloooooowwwwww Zzz [zzz]

I've been focusing on other builds, the office has sucked up most of my modeling time along with weekend trips to various places, so my progress is virtually non-existent.

I'm coming fairly close to finishing the P-40E for the Warhawk build which will leave only the HemiCuda. I still have a lot of bodywork to do, Censored [censored] Revell kits.

Anyway, I'm still here and still in the game.

Building Now:

1/48 Academy Bf-109G6 - 100%

1/48 Tamiya F4U-1A - 5%

Upcoming:

1/48 Revell F-14D

like the track double d.
thanks all, took a little time and was a nice change from what I normally do. I seem to be on this different kick, and in 20 years of modeling, the only thing I havnt built was a motorcycle. Well that has changed, I am currently working on a honda ponds race bike. Guess this is the year for new things.

hey all,
Finally finished the 53 ford. First the ppicture:

the paint is purple metallic (picked by my daughter)and copper, the decals are from a vw kit my son built, and the bed is wood with copper slats. In the bed I installed a scratchbuilt fuel cell, fuel pump, wing and fuel lines. the cab was chopped about 3/8 inch, and it was chopped 3/8 inch in the lower body. it has a scratch window and windshield (barbie box), and everything is shaved off. the interior is OOB, except for the missing 3/8 inch and styrene floor. The nose was chopped 3/8 of an inch to match the body, and is prettymuch oob. the engine has fuel lines, plugwires, and throttlecable that are all scratch. underneath I lowered the suspension, and added brake lines.I also scratchbuilt a wheelie bar for the rear from a set of ladder bars, two small wheels and some styrene. also there is a scratchbuilt front engine cage.

comments are welcome, and I hope you all enjoy.

here is a picture of another truck I built right before this one. I dont usually build cars so this was a nice hange.

happy modeling

jim

Again sorry for the inconienance.

Hi guys,
thanks for the comments. Arki, I will have to try your tip abotu removing the orange peel effect. I am still getting to grips with the subtelties of air brushing. I think orange peel means I was spraying from too far away. I have some fine grain sanding cloth so I will try your idea. Thanks again.
