You can count me in with either the Hasegawa or Italeri 1/72 F-16 with DACO decals for the black Tiger Meet scheme.

Here are some in-box preview shots from my kit.
It's the new Italeri 1/48 Spitfire Mk.XVIe.
Decaloptions are:

*No 349 Squadron (Belgian), Royal Air Force, 1945 (spät), Fassberg, Germany
*No 21 Air Group, Royal Air Force
*No 340 Squadron (Free French Air Force), Royal Air Force, November 1945, Germany
*No 349 Squadron, Royal Belgian Air Force, 1945 (spät), Fassberg Germany

I'm going to build the Belgian Air Force one.

I'm seriously considering getting in on this GB. I'm a big Starfighter fan and I've had TwoBob's Exotic Starfighters sheet for some time.Big Smile [:D] I know that the sheet has markings for at least one F-104G. I think it is this one, but I'm not sure:

I was doing a bit of research of the BAF Starfighters when I came across this GB!Tongue [:P] And if anyone is interested in doing a BAF Starfighter I have some good F-104 websites that I will gladly share!Wink [;)] - Calvin

Jurgen (sorry, no "ubers" on Navy keyboards! LOL) that sheet that I have is in 1/48. I got it mostly for the Southeast Asia & Japanese markings. So if anyone has a 1/48 Hasegawa kit that they want to put in Belgian markings, I'm sure we can work something out! Big Smile [:D] I should check, but I may have some markings for one in 1/72 that came with one of my 1/72 kits.Wink [;)]

Ah, OK. I don't have that particular 1/72 Hasegawa kit. But there have been some 1/72 Belgian AF decal sheets made:

http://www.72scale.com/aircraft/Lockheed/F-104.htm

Hope this helps!Tongue [:P] - Calvin

My kit has arrived from Squadron along with the Eduard Zoom set of PE parts. I'll have to make a few mods to the kit to make it a "proper" Belgian F-16 but nothing too difficult. Should be able to get started this weekend.

Here's DACO's website:
http://ultra.glo.be/daco/KOrder.html

It's a Belgian company, producing decals for Belgian a/c, PE parts, resin and home made airliners. Danny Coremans runs the shop, really friendly man....

outta curiosity, where about are the people here in Belgium located? I ask because Im living outside Mons, ( La Louviere) and still having trouble finding decent hobby shops in my local area... infact the only one Ive been able to find so far has been one called Lepoint 50 ? in Brussels. Im thinking about jumping in on this build but the kit I want to use I was thinking about starting another group build with called "gate guards GB" where the model would be built to represent a gate guardian. I was going to build an
F-84F to represent the gate guard at Cheivers AB stand and all.

Well, Awood, as you live in Mons, and I in Vlaams-Brabant, I don't know many hobby shops in that area.
The only modelshop in Wallonïe I know is in Wavre. In the Rue chemains de fer.
In Leuven you have Christiaensen ( in the Bondegenotenlaan ), wich has lots of model kits !!!

Conctact me ( or e-mail ) when you need more info, I'll try to find more model shops in your area.

Jürgen

Oh man are you wrong as wrong as can be, DanCooper (aka me) lives in Bruges and works in Antwerp but spends most of his time in the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor fighting for the alliance Wink [;)] .

I get the usual models in my local shop on 50m from my front door, and my more "exotic" models I buy at Verschooten in Antwerp, just behind the Boerentoren in a street called Eiermarkt (Eggmarket).

BTW Jurgen, I don't seem to remember the e-mail you talked about in one of your previous posts, could have gone lost on one of the other computers using this connection (wife, kids...)

Well, I've got the cockpit finished on my Tiger Meet '98 F-16. I was quite impressed with Eduard "Zoom" set of pre-colored PE parts. Makes a huge difference compared to the stock kit parts. Unfortunately, the camera refuses to get with the program today. So, no pics yet. Hopefully soon.
